That can't be the WHOLE story though, because other casinos don't suddenly stop getting new games when their contract comes up for renewal, it is all done behind the scenes.
Other casinos don't issue a press release either every time they renew their contract with MGS.
It looks like Microgaming had a fight on their hands to win the contract this time, so since December Ladbrokes were operating "off contract" whilst negotiations were taking place, so didn't receive any new games because Microgaming was NOT going to supply them until a renewed contract had been agreed and signed. They will no doubt all appear at once following this new agreement.
I believe the aborted purchase of 888.com by Ladbrokes is the reason they didn't simply renew their contract with MGS in January, and this was because Ladbrokes intended to switch to Cassava software for all their products once the deal had gone through. Since the deal did NOT go through, Ladbrokes had to start looking for an alternative supplier, and have now decided to stick with Microgaming, and put together what they believe will be a "premium package" that will draw players to Ladbrokes casino over the other MGS brands.
Funny thing is, they USED to have such a "premium package" on offer for players, but they systematically crippled it through a "death of a thousand cuts", ending with no new games for 6 months.
Ladbrokes also have this attitude that EVERY player that uses a webwallet is out to defraud them in some way, so players who use such wallets are treated like s***, and many decided to uninstall the Ladbrokes casino. I did this almost 3 years ago, and every time I check back they STILL seem to treat players like me like "third class customers" purely on the grounds that I use Neteller, and not a credit card, to deposit.
