I respect Casinomeisters decision to put 888.com and Reef Club Casino on the accredited list. But I must say that I am disappointed and surprised. I really did not think that they would make it.

I support this move. This casino is a very serious outfit. My personal experience is they always pay to the legitimate players. And this is the most important thing when we discuss online casinos.

IMO the whole white label issue has not been resolved, and players will continue to get caught in the "one welcome bonus at any 888-related casino" trap. A lot of ill-feeling still exists around the gambling community and I'm not sure that's something that can just be brushed aside.

Personally, I think CM should have observed for another 6-12 months before opening the door, but I'm sure he has his reasons and I guess only time will tell.

Welcome to CM Rachel.

This is interesting.

Even though I've never really won much from 888.com, I have always enjoyed the games (especially Knights & Maidens, and Adventures in Orbit). Now they are accredited, I'm tempted to give them another shot.
Kinda bored with MG at the minute. And Rachel seems very nice so it's reassuring to know if anything did go wrong there's someone like her close by... :)

888 was in the Baptism by Fire section for about six months - that's four months longer than normal. There was the white label issue but this has been resolved. There is NO cross marketing between 888 and any of the Cassava white label casinos - and we have communications laid out between us and the white labels, unlike before when they were not interested in dealing with us.

Therefore, in my opinion the problem was solved and they've been brought on board.

I agree with you Casinomeister. I don't think they are cross marketing between in-house brands and white label casinos anymore.

But the problem is that they are cross marketing within in-house brands. T&C clearly states that players can only receive one in-house casino welcome bonus.

For example. I received some official promotion e-mails from 888.com last week. It was cross marketing Reef Club casino, 888.com and another one I don't remember (in the same mail). The promotion e-mail offered me welcome bonuses at all three casinos. I would have violated their T&C and they could have confiscated my winnings If I had used this offer and accepted welcome bonuses at all three in-house casinos.

By the way, they sent these e-mails over some days because it was some sort of a countdown. The first mail said something like "you have 4 days to claim these bonuses". The second mail said "you now have 72H to claim". And the last one said "you have 24H to claim".

Rainmaker, here is the section from our T&C that explains exactly what you are talking about here:

All users of the Services shall be entitled only to one welcome bonus. Members who make their first deposit with the Company or any of its white label partners and who have or previously had an account with any of the Sites owned or operated by the Company, including both In-House Brands and White Label Brands, shall not be entitled to an additional welcome bonus, unless the Company decides otherwise at its absolute discretion.

If we have sent you emails offering you a sign on bonus than we are not going to close your account for accepting our offer.

We do cross market amongst our in-house brands and have never denied it.

Regards,
Rachel

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, that is the section I was referring to. I am aware of your "unless the Company decides otherwise.." clause. But it is messy. It only means that some players will have the opportunity to sign up at several of your in-house casinos, recieve and accept several sign on bonuses without any negative consequences since the Company has decides otherwise (by promotion e-mails or whatever). While others may do exactly the same, but will have their winnings confiscated because the Company has not decided otherwise (players have not recieved promo emails or whatever).

The case is that your T&C may be used to close and confiscate winnings only because a player has sign up at several of your in -house brands and has accepted several sign on bonuses. This makes no sense, because as you said: "We do cross market amongst our in-house brands and have never denied it".

This section in your T&C should be removed or rewritten.

Well this sucks...

But not unexpected.
Money gets things done and honesty is an unnecessary bump in the road.

Sorry, but I just can't be a part of any forum or website that promotes theses thieves and scumbags at 888.

I agree.

I don't think it's a good idea to cross-promote "in house" and then state that players can only accept one signup bonus....it's a recipe for disaster.

Rachel mentioned that "if you're offered something you can claim it". Let's hope that if anyone does have problems they can refer back to this thread and have the matter resolved.

IMO if any casino is going to cross-promote their own casinos they need to allow the SUB to be taken at each casino OR have a large red notice at the top and bottom of every email stating that if they have taken a SUB at xxxxxx casinos (of which a list should be provided in the email) then they cannot claim the SUB for this one.

Yes Nifty, that is exactly my point . They need to decide if players shall be allowed to claim SUB on each in-house casinos or not ( instead of having this really bad practice that only will lead players to violate T&C)

They do cross-promote in-house casinos. But players are not allowed to take SUB unless the casino has decides otherwise (the player must be approached by the casino with a bonus offer first, before they can legitimately claim several in-house SUB). It is a really confusing practice for an average customer.

This case should be discussed in a fair manner, with respect. It is easy to be carried away, but people here should stay calm

If this turns out to be a unfair bitching thread, then no rep will read it anyway. The objective must be to help the casino to understand why they should change some of their way of doing business.

I really don't need the drama with this. Show me a player who has not been paid. Show me a legitimate claim that is unresolved. The "scum" tactics that you are referring to happened in 2003-2006. That's several years ago. Isn't it time to give a company a chance to redeem themselves?

Edited to note: Casinomeister was one of the leading websites that was in contact with the executives of Cassava convincing them of their wrong doing of site scraping and blog spam. What did you do besides blacklisting them?

They were in the Baptism by Fire section for nearly 9 months. Where are the complaints? - valid complaints that come along with BbF. For the past nine months I haven't seen many.

The only issue was with the cross-marketing, and this was resolved in a fair manner as far as I know. What is the problem now?

Sounds to me that you have a massive chip on your shoulder. You shouldn't let that cloud your judgement.

.....

I see that the rep from 888 has already offered you help

I would guess it has something to do about the 200% Casinomeister bonus perhaps is supposed to be used on their Casino site and not the Games site. But I am not sure.

Anyway, I think that "Nikki" is too aggressive in this chat. And I have seen it several times before from 888 CS. It sometimes looks like it is all about getting the player to do a deposit regardless of what the player asks about.
