We would like to start by thanking ‘rainmaker’ for spotting this anomaly in coin value settings for Norwegians playing the game Mega Fortune. It has been a sterling job from your side and we would like to extend our gratitude to you for your detective skills.

We have been in contact with the game supplier regarding the coin value denominations used for the different currencies available to players and they can confirm that the settings previously had an incorrect setting. I say 'were' as they have been amended to the correct values by the game supplier during the previous week. As mentioned in the forum post we cannot ourselves make any changes to the settings of the games as a safety measure from the supplier’s side. All games available on our site are under strict control and regulation by the game suppliers and the licensing bodies.

The game Mega Fortune has only been available on our site since March 2011 and so far the Jackpot of €5.5 mil. has yet to be won, so the differentiating coin values has so far had little to no effect on the jackpot outcomes in the game, apart from the obviously faulty communication and setting.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure you that the incorrect settings have been rectified to their accurate values.

I see that the jackpot on Mega Fortune (the game we talked about earlier in this thread) is now almost €7 mill at Mr Green (and other NetEnt casinos). Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the highest jackpot ever regarding online casinos ?

I agree with you, the gameplay itself is quite boring. But it is obviously many people who plays it. It is "only" 156 days since it paid out € 5.3 mill and 283 days since some lucky player won about €4 mill. To build a €7 mill jackpot on 156 days will require many players. But the RTP (excluding jackpot) is probably very low. The "free spin" feature will often only give the player 5-10 x total bet.

But I would guess that many people plays it based on the opportunity to win a jackpot without having to bet bet for example €5 (Arabian Nights etc)

yes, i'm pretty sure you are correct. i think highest ever online casino jackpot was at like €6.6kk-ish.
