Is 'Jack Hammer' the worst paying slot ever made?

I don't literally mean payout %. Moreover, I'm talking about the frequency of payout symbols in winning spins.
I constantly get the lesser symbols, but the further up the pay table you go, the less frequent the other symbols appear. Even though Jack Hammer, Doctor Wuten etc only pay tiny amounts [in the great scheme of things] for 3, I have only ever seen the the top two pay on a win line ONCE each.
This is the pattern I see:

Potion thingy - Constant

Telephone - Constant

Newspaper - Almost constant

Car - Regularly

Blimp - Occasionally

Paperboy - Basically never

Lady on Phone - Less than never

Doctor Wuten - Who?

Jack Hammer - Had 3 of him ONCE in countless thousands of spins




This isn't a rant as such, because I've had plenty of decent wins on the slot, I just find it odd that the top 4 symbols are so rare they might as well not be part of the game.
In any other slot I've ever played, I see 3 of the top paying symbols almost as often as the lowest paying symbols. It's just really difficult to hit 4 or 5 but on Jack Hammer, hitting 4 or 5 would feel like a jackpot.

As you said the top symbols are very rare and seems to come once in 1000 spins. The Free Spins also sucks more than my Electrolux, takes forever to get them and they usually pay between 0 and 10x stake. And it even says Congratulations you won 0 coins.

Asked a Netent I play at if they could block it so that I wouldnt play it even by mistake, sadly they couldnt. Plus I havent seen any big wins on it, that would be +200-300xbet.

yeah I don't like that game myself for the very same reasons. But I have to admit that I can't make general assumptions because my sample size really is not that big, I played that game for 2 or 3 hours or so altogether.

Nope - I have hit 5 of them right across the top row once - but I didn't take a screenie of it.

Like most people I have a love/hate relationship with Jack - I love it when the wins come thick and fast as they often do, but hate it when it goes dead for 20, 30 or even 40 spins!
You would think it would be low variance they way it works, but it's actually quite high IMO.
Still my favourite NetEnt slot right now though - and I've had lot's of bet x 100+ wins on it, but nothing over bet x 152 yet...

Interestingly, I just got free spins whilst betting €2 per spin.
The first spin was 5 (FIVE) 'lady on phone' symbols on the top row = €60. The FS then re-triggered and I won a total of €144 from 25 spins.

Just a warning, NEVER chase freespins with Jackhammer!

I have had some decent wins in the game, but a lot of the time it will just kill your bankroll with no mercy.

Case in point, just yesterday I decided to have a test run with it, minimum stakes 0.25c, till I get free spins. It took 1241 spins until I got 10 free spins that paid out a whopping 1.05€! I was down +70€ at this point.

This was no isolated incident, either. Jackhammer is probably the most volatile net ent slot all in all. Beware.

Just a note, I have played probably over 20.000 spins on the game but I have never gotten a line of 5 Jack hammers yet.
