Ideally im sick of seeing the banners on FB. I report every single 1 of them as "abusive" especially the 888 casino 1's but I still get them.

Casino ads are over the top imo. We get spam to emails, phone calls, snail mail, TV ads/sponsors, advertising all over the web and now on social networking.

Myself, like many of us here dont care about that "exclusive, never to be seen offer" or all that BS. We just play where we want which is reputable, fun and with fast payouts.

The problem as well is half the advertised stuff is rogues. People even mention greedy affiliates who couldnt give 2 stuffs about the player, they just want the player to signup and play so they get cash and couldnt care how rogue they know the casino is.

Screw the ads, all we need is this community and common sence

From what I understand, casinos can advertise on Facebook - but they have a minimum monthly fee of multiple $1,000s they have to spend to be listed. So the small casinos & affiliates can't get a look in - it's only for the big boys...

I Agree but have not come across your problem unless i go to a casino page on face book i never get casino adverts etc>>

The reason for my questions was because face book clearly states that casino is not permitted as a form of advertising or even having a group or page but yet when i go to casino online pages some are over developed

surely face book had to approve the development ??

oh and KK not so sure about $1000's as i have seen fairly small casino sites have very auwsome face book pages

    Thanks though.

They don't have to pay to have a Facebook page - anyone can have one of those.
But they do have to pay a LOT if they want their adverts to appear at the side of OTHER pages.
I can't remember how much now (I did ask a while back) but it was definitely a large fee.

Unlike Google, that will absolutely NOT allow gambling adds of any kind...

Facebook can be bought and made to turn a blind eye to the gambling advertisements that appear on their site.
I guess that is what happens when your majority stake holders are Russian Gangsters.

Actually, it's even worse. When my brother was running a site selling NBA picks (69% winners against the Vegas line over the three years we ran it), Google Adwords killed our ads and sent us a warning letter because we were running a banner for SportingBetUSA on some of our site's pages. We weren't allowed to advertise just because we had a link to a sportsbook. When we wrote a letter back protesting that we weren't a casino and they had no right to block us, they told us we were acting as a "gateway" to gambling.

So we took down the casino ad. But after that, they still wouldn't let us advertise. They decided that selling sports picks in itself is encouraging people to gamble. Freakin idiots. There's no law that says you can't make picks...or link to someone who makes picks, or link to someone who links to a casino. They didn't have to block us. But our lawyer said they were trying to play it safe with the DOJ.
