    Online Roulette Question!!

    Hi guys,

Not posted on here for a couple of months but ive got a simple question for those who are in the know to answer please...ill explain later why.

Does this rule apply to Online European Roulette as well as Live Casino.

I am based in the UK so is their a difference to the rules or does the same rule apply no matter which Country you live in..whole world etc!

"The game of Roulette is a game built almost on pure luck as a spin of the wheel decides your fate. In Roulette, you decide where to place your bet and then the casino official will spin the wheel. Once the ball lands, you will know whether you have won or lost."

Im asking as i would like to know if as i stake my bet should i know or anybody else in that case know exactly if you have lost or won before the ball lands in a number.

I see it as if one can tell if they have lost or won before the ball has landed in a number then the game of Roulette is NOT a random game or a game of luck as it has already been determined by the machine or powers that be were that ball will land.

Am i right or not, please your comments are wanted on this asap.

    Cheers

Well, actually if you are playing Online Roulette, spinning reel and a ball landing on number is nothing but visual effects to make the game more realistic.

In reality you place bet and press Spin, casino client sends a simple request to the server, RNG generates a number and sends it to you. All it takes about one 1 second.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the above.. i gather you know the ins and outs of this due to your logo so is it really a game of chance or is the number already been determined.

    Thanks in advance.

It's possible the software could know in advance what rng numbers are coming out in future spins, but without any evidence to prove this then the software is innocent until proven guilty and that would apply to all software driven games as well.

I guess the only person who could answer your question is the games programmer of that particular software platform.

Personally I trust some casino software, but not all.

    What's the difference?
Even if it is pre-determined, it's no use you you or anyone else unless they know before hitting "spin" what the outcome will be.
I disagree with SlotMonster - I think it's closer to 1 millisecond than a whole second!

I've been playing online casinos for over 10 years, and my opinion is that the roulette numbers are totally random and generated the instant you hit "spin".
The only exception that I know of is BetVoyager where a sequence IS picked in advance due to their "Randomness Control Guarantee". If you want to know more about that, then SlotMonster IS your man!

Usually the simulation plays out before revealing the winning number. Unless you have the game settings set on fast play as with playtech software for example the number is produced a nano second after hitting spin. Out of interest which casino or software platform are you are playing on? Is it Nostradamus casino?

I've always believed that the number is indeed randomly picked after I hit 'spin'. Of course, it's a number picked at random from the remaining numbers which I have not selected.
