What is happening with Ladbrokes? (no updates, no comp points, no bonuses etc)

Genuinely Rep-friendly....

Ladbrokes is far and away my favorite online casino; MG for a start, super-fast hassle-free payouts (the best by far on the web as far as I'm concerned), good RTP on games, plenty of big wins (for me anyway!).

The thing is, when I go to most other MG casinos they have more 'new games', comp points, bonuses a-plenty etc. But I don't want to go to any other casino; I would happily stick with Ladbrokes for the foreseeable future.

I also mentioned in Gremmyboy's recent thread that, in support of him and the nonsense we get from some MG casinos (unnecessarily slow payouts with 'reverse' option available for sometimes DAYS afterwards), I will be closing my accounts at All Slots, Jackpot City etc and sticking solely with Ladbrokes. But are you changing software, closing the casino, or something else? Ladbrokes kind of feels stuck in the past, but I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I would just like to know what is going on?

Thank you for reading :)

I would say you've just been unlucky. I've been winning consistently @ Ladbrokes pretty much since I joined a few years ago. Yeah I've had spells where I deposit a load of times without winning/withdrawing, but then I will withdraw literally thousands, leaving maybe a hundred in my account; play with this and win a thousand more, withdraw some, win some more and so on.

But anyway, that's besides the point. And the thread title was "Rep Friendly" not "come and have a go"...

It could be that they focus more on sports betting as Ladbrokes is primarily a bookmaker. But in recent news there is talk of them buying Playtech. And more recently decided against buying 888. https://www.casinomeister.com/gambling-news/ It seems clear they want to expand the casino operations side of things, so what will they go for next?

They are still just about my No.1 casino - but only just.
It's true that they've stopped the masses of great promotions they used to offer to EVERYONE, but I am still getting the occasional personalised really decent offers. Like this month I had have a "deposit £100 and wager £100 for a £100 bonus" on both Roulette and Blackjack; once the bonus is received, then WR is only x10.
So I don't mind having no comps when they are giving me stuff like that!
(BTW, on both those bonuses I qualified with £1 profit!)

But I'm really worried that they stopped taking new games after December - my gut feel is they are planning to switch software, most likely to Playtech. I like Playtech software, so that wont be so bad - as long as the same type of bonus offers keep coming! ;)

Ladbrokes have pretty much sacked or 'let go' most of their senior management in the gaming section over the past 6 months. This is probably why the place seems to be 'on hold'.

I remember that Casino Action did the same, and although I doubt Ladbrokes will end up going bust, it may be that they want to pull out of the casino business and concentrate on their core sportsbook operation.

When they were in talks with Cassava, they probably wanted to see how this ended before making a decision, so they may not yet have decided on the future of the casino, hence it is "on hold". It would be silly to close altogether, only to find they later change their mind and have to win back their player base.

This is the absolute worst case scenario :(

I had a belter on Ladbrokes again tonight. Started off by winning over £300 on TSII, then another £500 on Elementals, and finally £400 on LOTR.

Ladbrokes is the only casino I have consistent winning streaks like that. Perhaps I'm the one putting their lights out?

I doubt that Ladbrokes is either going bust or planning on departing the online casino sector - all the business moves I have seen indicate the opposite, and the (relatively) new CEO Richard Glynn has imo been cleaning house and getting an expansion strategy in gear.

The 888 and Playtech negotiations I believe are part of that - and the news that the former deal had been abandoned was accompanied by reports that the issue on which agreement could not be reached was on price.

Agree of course, going bust or planning on departing is not realistic at all. Their casino is very profitable.

From 1.quarter results (15. april 2011):

"Casino net revenue was up 23.9% on last year reflecting a 70.6% growth in player yield"

"Total Digital net revenue was up 1.2% during the period with strong growth in both Casino and Bingo being offset by lower revenues in Sportsbook and Poker"

I make you right regarding win streaks at Ladbrokes ;), dunno what`s happened over at the 32Red group for me though, had every single deposit bonus (and some, at all 4 casinos) since November without a single cashout, hell 90% of these I never even increased my initial balance, feels very much for me that MGS have tightened the belt once again (in preparation for a GSOSII Jackpot maybe?).

Anyways glad to hear someone is winning ;).
