    Exclamation Jackpot-games.com (NetEnt) closing...

In case anyone has money sitting in their Jackpot-Games.com (NetEnt) account, I'd suggest you withdraw them asap.
The website will be taken down on March 31st and withdrawal requests should be made before that as well...

    Confirmation

    Hi all,

It is with regret that I can confirm Jackpot Games is closing.

After being in operation for about a year the directors have seen the regulatory environment change such that they can no longer see a return from the casino in the short and long term. Therefore, the 31st march will be the casino's last day of operation.

As ergopro pointed out, it's best to request a withdrawal now to give us ample time to complete any necessary security checks and complete the transaction, but let me stress the company has liquidity and the decision to shut was to limit future losses. As such, all players will see their winnings paid or their deposits returned.

An announcement reference affiliates will be made soon.

    All the best,

Well at least you didnt make a run with the players money like some other Netent casinos (mostly focused on sportsbetting tough) have done the past years so thumbs up for that.

This is still relatively short notice, and some players may be on holiday for 2 weeks, and will come back to an already closed casino.

Maybe taking the website down completely is NOT a good idea, since this is the FIRST place any players who have missed this announcement will look, and it is better to have a page with information about what has happened, and who to contact, rather than "this site is parked by <whatever> - buy this domain for $xxxx" - which would make these players believe you HAD "done a runner".

I think the directors were overly optimistic a year ago, since most of the negative regulatory changes were already in motion, even if not working properly. I noticed that despite this, there seemed to be a FLOOD of new operations trying to take a slice of a quickly diminishing pie, and it was pretty obvious that this would be followed by a "flood" of failures, takeovers, and mergers. This seems to have been happening, most recently with the shock takeover of Playshare by Casino Rewards pretty much overnight, and with NO notice whatsoever. Rival white labels have been going bust left, right, and centre (good riddance in this case), and other groups have been reducing the number of sister casinos in their portfolio.

If they don't think the business is viable now, this is a good move, because things are not going to get BETTER in the next couple of years, and if anything, there are pressures outside of regulatory concerns that are likely to reduce the volume of deposits from players, and the main one is the tightening of money now that the governments of various countries have spent a fortune saving the banks.
