max win? how and why does this happen?

seen a few max wins lately....is this something that only happens if you take a bonus?

kinda sucks, you wait forever for a massive win and it has a cap on it.

can someone explain this to me?

You`re confusing "Max cashout" and "Max win".

Max. cashout is usually applied when bonus is taken, meaning maximum withdrawal you can make if you complete wagering requirements.

Max. win is applied to certain or even all slots at some casinos, usually RTG but is not limited to them. In one instance this means that even if you bet max. bet amount there will always be a limit to specified amount, example max win of 5000 coins means that whatever your bet per line is 1,2,20..., you will never be able to win over 5000 coins. You could however switch to bigger coin size instead of raising bet size, you cant change coin sizes on RTG casinos this is related to those other casinos that have this stupid limit in place.

There is also max.win version where casinos put flat out amount like $1000, $500 which can be won in single spin/feature, progressives excluded. So if you are betting $25 per spin max win you can get is 20x your bet, regardless of the wins shown in paytable.

The max win on all rtg video slots is 50,000 x's line bet.

So if your playing a 20 line slot, at 5c a line for a $1 total bet, the most you can win on a single spin or feature is $2,500. Even if you would have been paid out more by counting all the win lines this is the total you can win.

I had asked Kasino King the very same thing and he pointed out to me the max payout is stated in the rules on the second page of the payout screen, I hadn't realized that as I only looked at the first page before. But the max rule is in the other rules section in the bottom of page 2.
    My bet was 1 cent x 50,000 = $500.
Here is a page from Intertops Count Spectacular where I hit the 5 Counts on the 4 re-spin feature. I was happy to get the $500 win, but also a bit dissapointed at the same time. But cashed it out right away, so can't be to bummed for a 25 cent investment on a spin.

I hit few max win on RTG slots - I think the max win rule is because the RTP is designed at certain %. for example 95%.
If however, the top feature is paid in full during free spin, it might cause the RTP to exceed the 95%.
This is my guess, could be wrong.

I have hitted max win on Rain Dance (JPC) at 5$,paid 12500$, triple twister(JPC) at 5$, paid 5000$, Triple Toucan (INETBET) at 1$ most recently, paid 2500$, I was only 1000$ away from cashout so lower my bet, I should kick myself.

I remembered that years ago RTG slots were 40,000x single payline bet.
    Then they increased to 50,000x.

For most RTG slots you do not have to worry about max wins on free spin as it is impossible.

    here is an eye candy.

    Sorry, but you are wrong!
Well, maybe not wrong, but have it back to front.

The RTP of ANY random slot is calculated over an infinite number of spins including all eventualities.
You don't see Microgaming or Rival capping the wins on any of their slots even though many of them have the potential to re-trigger free-spins indefinitely. This possibility is factored in to their calculation of the RTP.

Now RTG chose to cap their wins so (I'm assuming here!) they factor THAT into their RTP calculation.
What I'm trying to say, is that they don't cap the win to stop it going over 95%, but that the RTP is 95% because they cap the wins.
Otherwise it would be a 96% (or whatever) RTP game.
Big wins (Over bet x 2,000) are extremely rare anyway and so would only have a very small effect on total RTP. This only makes it more confusing to me as to why they have the caps when most other softwares don't.

I think DogBoy is the only one who can say anything about how the max. payout influences the RTP of a game.

Its especially the very high variance games that suffer from this.
I've never hit a max. payout myself unfortunately, but I've seen alot of screenies, on Mystic Dragon for example you only need a knight on reel one and 3 rows of dragons for a max. payout.
You dont even need all the dragons.
What if the knight on reel 5 also hits?
Or Realms of Riches, if you hit 5 crowns in free spins you only get paid 5 winlines, the other 15 are void.

But what really bothers me is that they are constantly increasing the number of winlines on their games, but not the max. win per line.
So on that new 88 winline slot you're stuck with a max. payout of only 582x bet.
    Thats just way too low.
