    Sam Ashley aka Steve Adkins

I was just curious if anyone knows what became of this guy. I remember he was a big shot in the online gaming business back in the old days but he got turned out to be a crook and was sent to prison.
Does anyone know his whereabouts these days?

Also, anybody know if Damien Dunlap (an alias i think) is still around?

I think (?) that is his real name; his handle was Bethug.
Not read a peep from him in 2 - 3 years.

Never heard of the first guy you mentioned.

    Hi Paul...

The following links give a bit of background on Steve Adkins... but they are all from 2002-2003... the point in time he was arrested & convicted.

As for the Casinomeister voted "CLOWN OF THE YEAR" Damian Dunlap... he has pretty much been "missing" from most of the gambling forums the past 2 years or so... as he got himself BANNED from most of them...

About a month ago... myself and a few others got a "spam e-mail" from "pastorsinalot"... one of the numerous "alias" names he goes by.

He also had a few "Porn" sites he was working on under "pastorsinalot".

He was BANNED from Youtube after numerous complaints...

Thanks Meister. LOL, i had forgotten what an abrasive character Steve/Sam was. Also glad to see some names (Mr. Racetrack and Colly) from back in the day.

I was a paying member of the OPA back then. I see it is still in existence. Does anyone know who owns it now? I seem to remember a guy name LasVegasHitMob/Mike Craig? was running it at some point.

I think this site is kind of what grew out of the original OPA (but its free- thank u again meister).

I get sentimental for the old days of online gambling sometime back when things were so much simpler like having to wager your 100% bonuses like 5x or less!! and being able to use credit cards with no problems.

    Things sure have changed

Last heard (LVHM)Mike Craig was playing DJ in the UK- he seemed to disappear from the forums after the final banning from WOL-

The OPA or at least the name (not sure) was "taken over" at one stage by the afore mentioned Damien Dunlap, At that point any vague sense of it being a useful organisation would have gone out the window on top of the Steve adkins tarnish. Pity as I think the intentions of at least some of the original founders were very good and some worked very hard for the players benefit. (Miss hearing Jetsets dulcet tones on the OPA broadcasts.)

CM's been around as long as I can remember including in the OPA days=its just grown in stature and memebrship- particualrly after the demise of WOL,

Sentimental for the old days- don't miss the credit card deposits but do miss the old style bonuses (lol) and some of the characters.

    Cheers

I thought that was the OPU (Online Players Union), which Damien was definitely involved with at one stage. When it failed as a players forum I recall it being flooded with porn spam by the aforementioned DD...
I believe it is now owned by the WebMistress Dominique.
(I could be wrong though - it has been known! )

You could well be right KK- I thought the acronym he used was OPA but possibly just trading off familiarity and it was OPU.

Usually anything around that clown makes my eyes water and grow red and fuzzes what remains of my braincells with anger. (it wasn;t just the website that got flooded with porn- some special persons including yours truly were singled out for special attention)
