RTG slots - picking for # of free spins.

You know on the games like Texan Tycoon or Achilles or the one with the monkeys, when you get 3 or more scatters and you pick one to reveal the number of spins, does it matter which one you pick? Or is the amount of spins set as soon as you hit the scatters so it doesn't matter which you choose?

When you get free spins on some of the other games - Tiger's Treasure or Big Shot for example - it gives you a predetermined amount of spins. I'm wondering if the other games do too, and the whole idea of letting you pick is just to make you feel like you have an input.

I remember reading somewhere once that if you're in a 'pick' feature, and it shows the amounts you didn't pick after you've made your choice, then it's not predetermined - like the little blade thingies on Hitman for instance. If you make your choice and it doesn't show the other amounts, then it IS predetermined - you're going to get the amount you're going to get no matter what you pick. An example of that would be like the gold idol feature in Tomb Raider.

I don't know if that's for real or not, but it kind of makes sense. But that's for $ amounts, not for the # of free spins, so it might not apply anyhow.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows?

If they were not predetermined, why do we always choose the lower FS awards?

I believe they are predetermined. Just as when you get the FS, your outcome has already been decided and it is just a matter of 'Eye Candy' to get you through.

So if they were actually random, then your FS outcome will be random as well. The FS outcome is predetermined randomly from a list of possible outcomes within the game cycle. Wouldn't it be great if the chances of hitting BIG were REALLY Random and not randomly selected from a predermined list?

I have always wondered this myself, especially for Warlock's Spell. I have gotten the 100 free spins one time, but the majority of the time I get 8 or 15 spins. Was always curious if it matters which side/colour I pick?

It really does not matter what you pick.
I'm absolutely sure about that, 100%.
    Its predetermend.

Take for example that Golden Lotus game.
There are 8 lotuses and you can pick 4.
After you picked 4 it shows the ones you did not pick.
No matter what you do, the ones you did NOT pick are ALWAYS higher.

Just open that game in fun mode, put it on autoplay/turbomode and trigger that Chinese Garden feauture 50 times in a row and you'll know exactly what I mean.

    Same goes for Texan Tycoon.
How often do you pick the 25 FS?
And how often do you pick 8 ?
    .. Exactly.

I agree that's it's probably predetermined. Which is good because now I don't have to be upset that I picked the wrong one all the time.

I wonder if dogboy is still around...maybe I'll shoot him a message and see what he says.

You know even knowing (or thinking) it's probably predetermined (as I have for a while), I still go "Oh damn" whenever I don't pick the good ones

Been thinking the same. Either they are predetermined or I'm extremely unlucky.

At least in hippo something (the awp game) when you hit the HI/LO feature between numbers 1-12 and the current number is often 11 many times in a row, and everytime I choose LO, it spins 12. And if I click on HI, it spins a LO instead. If that's not predetermined, then I don't know what is

    Oh like....

...CWC,when I hit the free spin feature and it showed how much I could have won per spin ( in my case I chose the x 10 or 15, I forget exactly) but then it showed me If I picked the icon to the left I would have won x100 per free spin! arrrgh.

I think it's predetermined.LOL...I have to think that

I one time played As The Reels Turn 2 which is a Rival slot, and on the pick feature where if you pick the blonde woman you pop. On my first pick I popped and for some reason when I popped the blonde woman was behind every pick. So I had zero chance of winning anything from the feature.
