Low Blackjack Results at CryptoLogic Create 2nd Quarter Downturn

Perhaps people are realizing that online Blackjack has become Slotjack, not really based on random card drawing but on setting winning limits on overall play of all players? See this thread: Blackjack or Slotjack?
    --------------------------------------------------
    From Blackjack.org

Blackjack is usually a popular choice for online gamblers but CryptoLogic is reporting that the game is reason for their second quarter downturn. CryptoLogic provides casino games for casinos online and they have stated their revenues are down for the second quarter from the first quarter.

Officials from CryptoLogic commented: “Despite the World Cup casino revenue showed a modest gain quarter on quarter but revenue was lower than anticipated due to a substantial swing in player preferences for blackjack and roulette.”

Not only did the company blame the game of blackjack but they also stated that the downturn was due to the installation of CryptoLogic games at Betsafe that were pushed back another month. The company also stated that branded games revenue grew by 20% compared to the first quarter reports.

The downturn reported by CryptoLogic seems to show that players are favoring other games to the blackjack and roulette options. Or players could be going to other sites to enjoy blackjack and other games. [- WB] Either way, the company has reported a loss and they will be working hard to gain back their losses in the next quarter.

hi , that would be right for cryptologic software another clear example of customers now knowing that roulette & cards are a form of slots as played nevertheless the company is working hard to gain back losses ,maybe this was worded wrong maybe it should be the company is working hard to regain more profits from these games .

I think you're misreading it. They're blaming the fact that players are swinging to the lower-holding BJ and Roulette games for the revenue being lower.

    Poorly worded, though imho.

fwiw, their BJ games are top-shelf with the best math, playability, and realistic presentation in the market. Try hitting on 20 w MG vs Crypto. Only one of them will ask you if you're certain. That's a big differentiator for me.

Yeah that was really poorly-worded and I had a tough time getting the message. Hope this isnt the reason for the pathetic $1 gift from intercasino and the spam to many accounts recently.
