    Question Credit card scams

    Hello guys,

I was about to do some deposits to play the roulette and then it hit me. How do the casinos might able to know that the one who is going to make the deposit its me, and not my brother or one of my neighbors or any one??? And this could also be applied to withdrawals or not??? Do they use any kind of application (like equifax)to confirm one's identity or something??? I also live in Perú, so how could they confirm that its me the one who`s making the transaction and not some burglar.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

You ask a very good question!
You are correct, anyone who has your Credit card details could deposit into a casino - just the same as they could use it to buy anything else online.

The only check which COULD be made at time of purchase is making sure the Casino account name matches the name on the credit card - but not all casinos do this check afaik.

However, full & thorough checks will be done if the player wants to make a withdrawal from the casino. This is likely to include supplying several official forms of ID to prove it is the genuine card-holder requesting the withdrawal.

If you are a genuine player and stick to reputable recommended casinos you have nothing to worry about. But it is always a very good idea to check your credit card statement regularly for any transactions you didn't make yourself, whether to casinos or other purchases.

    Good luck!

Thanks KK, I made my bet and I got myself a good prize!! , I suppose I had to ask for the money before I got greedy. I had already sent my Id along with a bunch of other docs so they can confirm that Im the "real deal". Thanks a lot for you answer it was really reassuring.

Now, for future reference and in order to avoid this credit card situation would you recomend the use of ewallets?? or is that the samedeal with them when payout is to come?

    Best Regards

Same as with anything else, if your "brother" has your card he can go online and buy whatever he likes, They still dont really do any checks
