    Hi there,

Thanks for your posts and comments. Although Jackpot Capital has taken over the Grande Vegas casino and its customer database, the personal documents of the customers were not transferred.

As per the agreement when the documents were requested by the casino, they will be always kept in a confidential manner.

Customers, who now wish to make a withdrawal, will need to provide the necessary documents once more.

We apologize for any inconveniences caused, and greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter.

    Kind regards,
    Yasmeen

Couldnt the former owners have indicated at least which accounts had already been verified by them? It would have removed the need for already ID'ed customers to resend everything and probably saved your accounts team some time.

Is there any way this information could be obtained? The documents themselves could be kept by the former owners - only a 'yes' or 'no' would be needed for each account.

Seems an unnecessary impost on existing players.

Baring in mind what was said at the conclusion of the "Pulver vs Lock" thread (which you agreed with); don't you think it reasonable that the new owners need to do their own due diligence on players and not just rely on information which they themselves were not involved in verifying?

It is entirely possible that the reason for GV's demise was that they were targeted by fraudsters which they didn't properly protect themselves from.
Why else would a casino go bust when they should always have the edge over the players?

I Know it is a total PIA for legit players, but I agree it is necessary.

This is a damn good question, which the rep seems unable to answer, but the former owners SHOULD be able to answer.

If the documents were not transferred, they should have been DESTROYED. It seems the former owners have taken a cavalier attitude to player privacy, thinking it doesn't matter about what happens to all this personal info now they no longer need it.

It is an important point, since it costs money to keep information secure, and one wonders if the files have simply been dumped with the trash, or worse, sold on to recoup some money for the owners.

Grande vegas players should watch out for signs that their old information has leaked, such as a sudden surge in targetted spam, or snail mail offers that could only have come from a player database.

This applies to ANY casino operation that is taken over, not just this deal. Perhaps the matter of what happens to player data in such takeovers has been glossed over, and it has been ASSUMED that the data, ALL of it, transferres to the new owners, who then assume responsibility for keeping it secure.

As for the JC rep, WHY was the transfer allowed to take place without REQUIRING the former owners to hand over ALL the player data, including the documents, even if only to be able to GUARANTEE to players that the documents were STILL securely held, something that JC cannot guarantee at present.
