    Casino Tropez Scam

This is an extract from an e-mail I just received from Casino Tropez:

"Dear Gilbert, Your withdrawal request for the total amount of €58.61 is currently being reviewed. As part of our security process, we require: (...) 2. Front and back copies of the credit cards used to deposit in your account. The credit card copies must display the following: • Name (as registered in the account)• Expiration date • First 6 and last 4 digits on front of the credit card • Last 4 digits at the back of the credit card • signature...."
    ---
First 6 and last 4 digits on front of the credit card • Last 4 digits at the back of the credit card • This is incredible!

    I replied and asked them:
"You say that my credit card copy must display the "First 6 and last 4 digits on front of the credit card / Last 4 digits at the back of the credit card ...."

However, other casinos advice to cover/block the middle eight numbers of the credit card number as well as the CVV number (last three digits) on the back for security purposes!!

My question is: am I allowed - for my protection - to do this also?"
    ---

They replied however that: "we need to see the first 6 and last 4 digits; not the first 4 and last 4 digits. Instead of blocking the middle eight digits, you may block the numbers in between the first 6 and last 4 digits."

I have told them that they may keep my money.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think it extremely likely that they mean the last 4 digits of the MAIN number on the back, NOT including the CVV number.
I think they want this to ensure you're sending the back & front of the SAME card!

I know not all cards are the same, but I have one of mine here in my hand for example, where just the last 4 digits of the main number are printed in the signature box.
The CVV number is in a separate box to the right.
You should cover the CVV and send it IMO.
Also, make sure you can't read your WHOLE main number reversed in the scan of the back!

I used to just send whole images of my cards - no blocked numbers. But they were all prepaid debit cards - i have never used a credit card for any online transaction. still, i had balances of over US$3k on occasion and never had anythinig go wrong in 3+ years

i dont thnk thay can do anythng with missing 6 numbers from front - not sure with back numbers

now i always send in ID docs, cc images when I first register at a casino and wait til i get an email sayng i have satisfied all requirements necessary before depositing
