I read this, read it again and thought how disgusting a reply this was a from an apparently reputable casino.

I know none of the facts. The player could have lost £1, £1000 or £1000000 - it doesn't matter - in any case this player has given his/her hard earned money to the casino. The player could be fraudulent or not fraudulent. The player could be a high roller or a lower roller. The player could use strategies or no strategies - I don't care and it doesn't matter.

The casino should act professionally and courteously in all situations.

However, it is just this type of magisterial bullshit you now expect to hear from an online casino. Hiding behind their cigarette stained monitors they think they can get away with this rubbish. It's appalling behaviour. If they spoke to me like that (especially on a public forum) I would want answers, exact answers straight from the top and I wouldn't give up until I got them.

I am infuriated by this response and Jody obviously doesn't give a flying f**k of how he/she appears to any of the readers of this forum, which I am afraid ultimately sums this person and casino up to a tee.

Stay well away from organisations like this.

AudiManinBoro - I think calling Purple Lounge a rogue casino is over the top, but of course you are entitled to your own opinion.

Cant_Get_Right - You said: 'The OP was a loyal customer for 18 months' I am curious to know how you define a 'loyal customer', and also how are you aware of purpletin fitting your definition?

heador112 - Actually, many people (including purpletin) have said that the Purple Lounge customer service is very good, so I am no sure that sentence is a good description of Purple Lounge

takethemoney - Purple Lounge will not be refunding purpletin's money, in the same way that IF we locked winning accounts we wouldn't ask for anything back

Rusty - Fair enough, I will read your posts more carefully in future

all4greed - I can confirm purpletins statement that he is at an overall loss at Purple Lounge

VWM - I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on the closing of accounts. I do understand your point of view, but as an ex-player I truly would actually prefer to simply have my account closed rather than be told by a casino that I could play with them but not enjoy any of the promotions.

RogerB - We will (at last) be removing the $1 fee for casino players, in the not too distant future.

Marie2473 - Yes, the player did get paid. We always pay all players except in cases of fraud.

I just wonder what purpletin and heador112 did with the bonuses that was different to how I played them. I was certainly FAR more successful

If i remember correctly , i was playing videopoker .

I do understand your point of view, but as an ex-player I truly would actually prefer to simply have my account closed rather than be told by a casino that I could play with them but not enjoy any of the promotions.
For most players (including me ) an account closure is much worse then a bonus ban .I dont understand why you close accounts just stop to credit bonuses to players which show a gaming patterns you dont like.

I have lost count of the amount of times I won big at the start of the session and then lost the lot due to having huge WR. See this page for example.

I don't always play with a bonus at other casinos, but where PL were offering 3 100% match bonuses a week there wasnt time to play there without one!
So, THIS is "bonus abuse" as far as PL is concerned. SLOTS play, and bets ranging in the main between £1 and £2.50

When I play, it is slots, and I bet up to £10 with the £75 happy hour bonuses, and up to £5 with the Sunday match. I have sometimes been offered those special email bonuses, 100% to £350 was the most.

I have bet higher than £10 when I am "on a roll", and I am now ahead by £25K.

It still defies logic why I am still able to log in, yet a slots player who also takes all the bonuses, yet bets far lower, and at what would be considered at a "recreational play" level, NO mathematical strategy as far as I can see, yet SOMETHING in there has PL "running for cover" because the information purpletin has disclosed about his strategy would lead to "more players, just not the ones we want".

Heador112 is a Video Poker player, and it seems this fact alone was enough for PL to base a decision to ban him after a mere 2 deposits.

Players have absolutely NO idea where they stand, and so ANYONE could wake up one morning and find their account at PL locked, even a recreational slots player, let alone those dedicated "advantage players" that will have their calculators out every Tuesday and Thursday.

The rep fails to understand the EMOTIONAL impact upon a player of suddenly finding their account locked without cause, even though they have been truly "recreational", rather than "advantage" in their play. They worry that something has gone horribly wrong, and they have been flagged for FRAUD, or someone has stolen their identity and used it to attempt fraud at PL.

Being "bonus banned" DOES at least reassure the player it has NOTHING to do with fraud, or anything else REALLY serious. Many even see it as a compliment from the casino, appreciating that they are far too CLEVER to be given the crutch of high value bonuses to increase their winning chances.

Unfortunately, the complete lack of logic in the decision to ban purpletin for his "strategy", yet not myself, has me STILL wondering whether there is "more to this than meets the eye", and this will ensure this issue will rumble on, and will get rejuvenated every time another player posts about getting a PL ban for innocuous play, such as low bets on slots only.

That almost sounds like vindication of any "improper" practices on my part.

Thumbs down Accreditation should be revisited

This casino's attitude toward players is one that I hope is not a model of what an accredited casino should look like. Maybe this one should be reevaluated.

    It gets stranger still.

Purple Lounge just sent out a mailer - they have HALVED casino WR, and it is now 25x B - WHAT ARE THEY SMOKIN'!!!!!!!!!!

This will hit the "bonus beater" forums, and would bring in a TIDAL WAVE of those "players we don't really want", since the MGS norm is 30x B.

PL are now offering all those 100% bonuses, 2x75 and 1x25 per week, as well as a few specials (this mailer included an extra 100% to 100 to "try out" the new 25x WR).

They have also gone "anti-Neteller", again displaying a lack of forward thinking. Piss off regular players who have always used Neteller, and never done anything "wrong" (as they seem to think purpletin has done). What do the ADVANTAGE players do though:-

    take an educated guess

    1) Carry on using Neteller, and forgo the drop to 25x B WR
    2) Switch to another deposit method so they can "hit" all those boni with a mere 25x B WR instead of having to run to 50x B as under the old rules.

Whilst the rep claimed they look at player accounts individually, and decide whether they are "misusing" the bonuses, and ban those that are, they then simply impose 110x WR on the ENTIRE POPULATIONS of Greece and Canada. Surely THEY are "individuals" too, so why can't the same standards be applied to them as to purpletin and heador112 (as in demonstrate "abusive" play, get banned).

Why on EARTH have I just been offered ANOTHER bonus there, being a Neteller depositor, and almost ALWAYS playing with their weekly and special bonuses, only infrequently "demonstrating a moment of madness with my own funds and not claiming a bonus", and 25K AHEAD too

It wouldn't have anything to do with it being considered "too DANGEROUS" to ban ME would it
