Roulette is a game for the person who has the guts to risk it all. But its only worthwhile if u have the guts to risk your whole bankroll. IMHO![]()

Roulette is a game for anyone. The house edge is low (zero even at Betvoyager I believe), and there is no system and no strategy.
You pays your money and you takes your chances.
Better chance than slots to break even.
My system? I bet a split on my birthday and my kid's birthday. Pays 17:1, I make 10 bets. If it hits, I'm up, if not I'm down.
Play single zero roulette vs american...your odds are better.

Well, I don't want to sound sexist, but I'd say it's womans game... in B&M casinos.
However, online it's mans game - it always seems to be men posting on forums saying they've found the "Magical Holy Grail" way to change the laws of mathematics and beat the game...
If you're in the USA (I think you are), I would not bother if I were you. The main fun of roulette is spreading loads of chips all over the table & seeing if you get that lucky hit; but so far I have failed to find ANY reputable casinos with chips smaller than $1 who accept USA players. So unless you have very deep pockets, it's a no-no.
Ironically, if you weren't in the USA you could play with chips as small as $0.10!

I enjoy the chance game of roulette!
its for everybody who like chances I guess...
I actually consider it the fairest casino game.![]()
Whilst it is true the house edge is better than slots, for a table game the vig is amongst the lowest the casino has to offer.
Roulette can be very exciting, seeing your number come up with a stack of chips on it. However this excitement usually comes at a price. So I have never understood where the excitement is when people just bet red/black or odd/even.
The classic image of the casino which is commonly used in promotions, is that of a glamorous lady with a big smile seemingly enjoying herself whilst placing bets at the roulette table. Whereas for card games it conjures up images of smoke filled rooms and men drinking.
More and more females are gambling these days, and research does show that some woman are more likely to be drawn into certain types of gambling.
Online bingo being a prime example, as it has more of a community feel about it, where players can interact and chat with fellow members.
Some online slots are clearly designed for woman. MGs popular Ladies Night being a good example. Other slots designed in girly colours.
Overall though I would say its all about the image and perception these games conjure up. For instance UK bookmakers have spent years trying to get away from the image of a smoke filled room with old men coughing. Online casinos has helped make gambling more universal amongst the sexes.

What are you smoking? lol. Yes, the house edge for roulette is less than slots, but the vig, even for single zero roulette, 2.7%, is the higest I play. Consider the vig for most (all?) blackjack is less than 1%, as is the Pass Line bet in craps (even before odds), and at least some VP games. Baccarat is just over 1% (except for the sucker Tie bet), as are Place bets on 6/8 in Craps. I could go on.
