Should You Have To Send In Docs On Small Promo Wins?

I met my w/r on beat the clock at Ruby Royal, asked the agent to fludh it, he said it was done, its for 50.00 only, i have made 2 deposits before using a pre paid card. The guy never said anything about Docs as this was a promo win and i thought all was cool, ive been paid by 2 other Rivals in the past(no docs) and was paid within hours.

I had an email this morning from Ruby Royal needing docs and was able to get the docs faxed to them, had to go into town and pay 1.99 each for 7 pages lmao as my fax is on the blink, maybe im in the wrong bizz.

I was able to get on chat and the agent said it had to be looked at by security and accounting if i recall right and that they wouldnt be working over the weekend so that would make it sometimes next week.

MY question is why on a small amount and a promo at that does one have to jump thru hoops, i didnt use a bank card, its prepaid.

Laurie, you are still faxing in docs? Why not just have them scanned to a flash drive or disk (if you don't own your own scanner) and then simply save them to your hard drive so in the future you can just simply email them.

It used to be with most Rivals that you did not need to send in docs if your cashout was for less than a $100. But then again if you have made a few cumulative withdrawals that combined total more than $100, then I could understand them asking you to send in your docs.

I still think all the doc requests are total bullshit though since they never ask for them up front before you deposit but only when one goes to cashout.

Thats the problem with a lot of the casino's nowdays, they will concentrate on getting the money in and generating new promo's etc to get the money coming in, This is the reason why they dont ask for it up front.

The clients will either go else where they can deposit at straight away or not worry and the casinos dont want that.

The only way I see something like this changing is ALL casino's do the same thing and ask for this PRIOR to the first deposit AND get the documents verified straight away- train the operators on ID checking.

There is a positive to all of this, soon most casino's will take on something called Identiti.

It is a online verification process that the cleint can fill out themselves and this verifies there ID that way..

For example Here in Australia we go to the link and can verfify ourselves via the our social security number or other means like our medicare card or something, the only thing we need to send in now is any credit cards we add.

Actually, there is no need for your docs for that.
The Casino just wants to ensure itself, and if you request chargeback they can say we have your docs, the prooff you played with us.
Its just a precaution from their side, i know it annoys all the players, sending so many docs to so many casinos and they all have a lot of details about you.
It takes just 2 minutes to approve the docs, unless player is suspicious regarding his deposits and deposit methods.
But Casino being Casino, they make that process last 5 days so it appears they are actually doing sommething.

Agreed, the identification process should ideally be completed prior to the first deposit. That way the casino can decide before hand if you are a fit and proper person to do business with. I know some casinos will accept your first deposit prior to id checks, then will lock your account after you have played your first deposit until ID is sent in.

Yes the casinos do have a responsibility to ensure players are of legal age and that fraud is not been committed, but they also have a responsibility to their legitimate customers. (which is the vast majority) so rather than making the ID process feel like a hurdle, casinos ought to be bending over backwards to ensure they are requesting it from players, not the player having to email accounts to send them in, then hoping they will be accepted and waiting and waiting for their responce.

If you can apply for a credit card or a loan online and get a desicion within 60seconds, then verifying someones basic details should be very simple.
