If the casinos are afraid of getting hit, then increase the wagering - dont go along the path of what is
IMO theft.
I also wonder what effect on total payback to the player the removal of excess winnings has?
I think anyone would agree that 30xDB on a 100% bonus is very tough to beat in any case, so I dont see the need for restrictions. Ive mentioned this to Vegas Regal as they are currently doing this for just about all bonuses.
FWIW I think wagering 60x your deposit to be able to cashout 10x that amount bites the big one.
HUGE - Slots are so HIGH VARIANCE that EVERY half decent session will have most of the positive variance payout confiscated, but the bad sessions will have NONE of the NEGATIVE variance capped. These are also pretty LOW percentages of bonus, so around HALF (in one case) of the starting bankroll is the player's OWN MONEY.
These offers are a real money spinner to the casino, and rely on the fact that most players do not understand how high variance makes these offers worse than playing WITHOUT a bonus in terms of the overall payback the player actually gets to WITHDRAW.
If these bonuses are to be played, then LOW STAKES are the key, giving little chance of winning so much that it gets confiscated. This too has problems, since even if you make WR, the bonus is NOT cashable, so you have really not won anything, rather you have taken insurance against losing your deposit, and this only gives you the chance to play some more to win it back, not cash the "insurance" out.
