Just dived in through the Ladbrokes porthole. It was a bit disappointing as due to the numbers playing there was a lot of delay on the spinning of the reels. Once when I hit the feature it took over two minutes to resolve.

I wasn't in any danger time wise but it was not a very enjoyable playing experience. Also suffered a slow lingering death with no freespins. Looks like my first rebuy is coming when it calms down a bit.

How is everyone doing? Let's hear your trip reports which hopefully are more eventful than mine. Good luck everyone it would be great if a CM member could take this down.

Top of flop

Absolutely boring first game.Took me 30 minutes for 9000 coins, without any bonus round.Maybe in a couple of days it will go faster:confused:

Who are mysteryous GUEST_00000001s?

Unused places?

Hi Gamblex,

These are players who have not yet played a Multi Player Slots tournament and hence don't have an Alias. Not sure why operators would give seats to players who haven't played multi-player before, but hey-hum.

Most will probably go unused!

Mark

There is a terrible lag that it's boring to wait for the reels to spin.

I need around 1/2 minutes for a spin looool!

huge lags for me too.

i ended up scoring 9000 point... worst score ever :(
I probably wont rebuy or continue playing

But thanks 32 for the entry!

Seems to be lagging for lots of people including me

I wonder if many people will feel like this with all the lag :p,
*warning alot of FFFing goes on*

Now, some 3 hours after the start, there is already a player with a top score of 62,656 and he is still doing rebuys.

With this coinage (starting round 9,000 coins + 3x continues, 4,500 coins each = 22,500 coins in total) average result would be about 15 to 20 tousands. This means even with 30,000 hit (5 scatters or 5 wilds or 4 wilds during free spins) you are 12,500 - 17,500 coins short.

2nd have 56,900 and 3rd 47,074. Is it possible that all three of them got 30,000 hits?

Anyway, Vinyl predictions about who hits 30,000 win the tournaments went down and now, as I can see it, the one who with the holly grail of Tomb Raider - 90,000 cions hit (five scatters during free spins) can actually start thinking what she/he will do with 1 mill if ended right way.

Holy Grail of Tomb Raider is 5 wilds during free spins - giving you an incredible 112 500 coin win on a single line (+other lines that pay), second is 5 scatters during free spins 90 000.

Whoever gets one of these, is the one that really can go for pos. 1!!

Anyone know what is the probability of hitting these holy grail monsters?

The player next to me on the scorechart was called BaileyBoy. So maybe that was the CM himself charging over the top :D

I see VINYL TWINS with virgin score

Guilty as charged - TWO seats:D

Looked in earlier, can't connect at 32Red, can at All Slots.

Reports of severe lag are worrying, hell it's ONLY 9000 PLAYERS, and many are NOT playing all at once. What kind of "third class" servers do MGS use for these tournaments, and is this cost-cutting the reason behind so many of the other issues with these tournaments.

The other tournaments are running pretty much as normal (in terms of numbers, maybe not speed), and I would have thought MGS would have used a new, and separate, server for the Grand Slam, after which they could have used it to increase the general server pool.

Desparation I expect. Same sense of panic that prompted the sale of tickets that were initially advertised as "cannot be bought" at 150, and then 75. It seems now that the remainder are simply being dumped to active players at the casino, even though they are not necessarily multi-player tournament users. It may also be due to the separating of aliases between casinos, with players yet to create these separated aliases.

Well, it's over before it even got going. It may not be worth actively chasing such scores on such a LOW VARIANCE game. You are looking for VERY RARE hits to even stand a CHANCE, let alone a GOOD chance.

It is a bit of a shock to see so MANY scores this high so SOON. It all depends on how many players have already played, and how often. With such a large field, you WILL see the rarer high scores. It changes my thoughts on strategy though, as I would be looking for a far bigger start now that the scores to beat are so high. I will also be looking at the lower prize range, and basing my strategy on at least getting one of those. The lower the prize, the less worth there is in chasing.

Microgaming may also suffer, as scores this high after a mere 3 hours may put players off from rebuying, especially players who know the slot well (and how RARE those scores are to achieve), and have limited bankroll.

Probability is...relax:D something close to State Lottery Jackpot:D

More realistic is maybe: what lowest score after using first 9000 coins at current "state of things" might be considered as "decent" or worthwile to take CONTINUE and when will be better to take a rebuy right away

What do experts think?

Even score of 30K looks no too optimistic:D

WIlds!!Scatters!!! Wild scatters and scattered wilds!!! Just to survive, BTW

"He spins the reels as a meditation..":D

For 8500 players main prize will be a meditation.Who says meditation must be free?

Urk...horrible first round and I probably won't bother buying in. One idol feature and no free spins - I think I ended up with a score of about 5000. The lag wasn't too bad for me but I got my seat at All Jackpots and it always lags there so maybe I'm just used to it. Oh well maybe I'll get one of the booby prizes - the 8000 place or whatever it was.

Agree with vinyl. It is practically ended before even really start, at least for me.
Of course I will secretly hope (I will not say this on loud even when Im alone in a room) to catch something good with rebuys (my 1st score sucks).

About how much rebuys and continues players did in those 3 hours? I don't think there was many, as MGS servers where laging as hell. EWven now. You can easiliy test it while trying to get into dthe game. If "refresh" bar thake more that 1/5 it is laging (repeat this 2-3 times in a row to make sure).

BTW, wille I spinning and waiting for a spin to complete I though about how I actually pay 16,67 euro cents to look at blury reels. :D

Not to mention that in contiuonues that blury reels cost 33.33 per spin. ;)

Well, I won 8 free rebuys or continues in the 32Red warm up tournaments, so I will be having 8 goes there at least.

I started with a whopping 18000 score off 10000 coins on last night's warm up, which I thought very good indeed for such a low variance slot. I ended over 30000, but came third. Now, so I am told, it is 6th, so even a start like this may not produce much of a result.

It would be interesting to see how quickly the top 10 is populated by "unreachable" scores of 50,000+

There is a chance that the focus on this big event, along with the strain on the servers (and resulting lag), diverts attention away from some of the other tournaments, where smaller fields will mean bigger chances of getting a top placing.

My starting 9000 gradually moved to winbox yielding me 9100 score:lolup:

I don't know why but I have no burning desire to take a rebuy at this moment.

I have a premonition I'll make ...several, anyway:D

Reels are spinning pretty smoothly.I feel happy:lolup:

If a do a rebuy but get a worse score, does that mean I can only do a continue with the new score and can't go back to the first one to continue that?

Thanks, I guess that means no rebuys for me!

I got a slightly above average score on the first go, I could easily spend 60 on rebuys and not get back to where I started - so I will probably wait a while and see if the continues might get me up to 100. That's about as much as I want to risk on such a long shot!

Bit dissapointed . The game was lagging so much when I started I couldnt be bothered to sit there and wait so I quit the game thinking I could go back and continue my time from where I left off.... It would appear not

Maybe ill start again with a rebuy but ill be waiting for none peak hours at least.

Thanks anyway 32red for the entry.

I have a score of 15,000 but looked at rebuying and it cost 29.91...what the hell. I thought the rebuys were 20.00...and isn't USA dollars worth more than euro?...edited to find out euro is more than US but it's really not fair..so let's say an American player win, we will get $666,667..this is my last time playing a euro tourney.

It would cost me 90 for three rebuys.

the euro is worth more then the dollar, i guess the tournament prizes are in euro so yes 20 is around $29

Well, this is odd because I recently got some publicity mentioning that this was running in BOTH the Euro AND the US Dollar, so surely a US Dollar account would automatically have the DOLLAR version:confused:

Maybe MGS issued the "wrong" release to the casino, and they USED it. MGS may once have THOUGHT of running this in dual currency, and later shelved the idea to run the whole thing ONLY in the Euro.

This is highlighting the problem of appeal again, having the cost of continues and rebuys appear so HIGH to accounts in lesser currencies is putting players off. The PRIZE is NOT displayed after conversion, so players think they are being asked for nearly $30 per rebuy for a $1,000,000 top prize, forgetting that, in Dollars, the prize will be nearer $1.5.

Players using the Canadian dollar will see an even BIGGER price, and for those using the South African Rand, well:D
