Are you playing the "Flash" or the downloaded casino?
I always play the downloaded version which works fine (once the whole suite of games is installed), but the flash version can be unreliable.

I've had that many times.
Mostly just try again and it works, sometimes wait a few minutes.
It never takes long...its their income!

I've had technical issues when I was a member with Ladbrokes last year. I mainly used it for sports betting, but did have the odd single session on blackjack. I remember having transfer problems and the system would not allow me to transfer from wallet to wallet. I phoned the c/service and shortly afterwards they had manually performed the transfer for me.

Needless to say I lost all £15 quickly after this lol. However I admit playing the game without thinking at the time.
