In order to WIN something, a player must have ENTERED a contest, or draw. There are MANY scams where people are tricked into believing they have "won" something from a contest or draw they never entered, nor even knew existed.
If this player REALLY "won" this bonus offer, it should have PREVIOUSLY been CLEARLY presented to them that they had ENTERED this contest or draw in the first place, perhaps by depositing $x and wagering $y on day zz.
It seems this player was unaware of entering anything, so assumed that anything they have "won" was part of a scam.
Funnily enough, I have just "won" $15 from our Nemesis here at the forum ("Gold VIP Club" crapsino). I have now "won" this THREE times, but I have no account, never have done, and hovering my mouse over the link reveals that this casino now USES IT'S OWN WEBDOMAIN to send out the spam - maybe in an effort to convince me I really HAVE "won" $15 from THEM, and not one of their non-existent spammy affiliates.
It is antics like these that make it problematic to just send a player an email saying they have just "won" something from a contest that was not previously made clear to them was running. They are likely to end up in the spam bin along with all the FAKE "win" notifications, rather than generate a deposit (which was the intent).
