I have no idea if this meant the payout % was this way only during a promotion or all the time?

i have no idea but please tell me because i lost 100 euro a few days ago at that casino (20 deposit plus 80 bonus) on the same slots where i won at 32red. the money was gone in a flash

Most casinos state their overall returns are somewhere in the 98% region, but this can be very misleading if you don't fully understand what that actually means...
e.g. A casino could have a slot which pays out 9,800 for every 10,000 wagered.
So the casino can quite honestly say the return for that slot is 98%.
But if you deposited 200 and played that slot for 10,000 in wagers you would lose your whole 200 - your return is still 98%, but your personal pay-back from the slot is 0%.

Maybe Ana meant the casino pays out to players 83-85% of all deposits paid in, which sounds much more reasonable, or maybe she just doesn't have a clue & made it up!

Seeing so many casino's doing the play on words thing again. they do it with the promo's and it looks like they add it to other things.
