Confused about MG group - MiniVegas? Vegas VIP Lounge??

Yesterday I got a CD in the mail from Vegas Vip Lounge, they list as their properties Grand Hotel, Colosseum, Vegas Slot, Vegas Country, and Colosseum Poker.
I play at Vegas Joker quite a bit and I always thought they were part of this same group (MiniVegas) along with Colosseum and Vegas Slot but they're not listed on the CD.

So my questions...are MiniVegas and Vegas VIP Lounge 2 different groups? Were they always? Or is Vegas VIP Lounge even a group? Is Vegas Joker still part of MiniVegas? Or am I just really confused???

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Vegas VIP Lounge is just a "marketing arm" of Mini Vegas; in other words, I believe they are one & the same company.

And yes, Vegas Joker (and all the others) are still part of the MiniVegas group.

Spot on KasinoKing, you beat me to that

Hi Cindy, yes it's exactly as KasinoKing says.Vegas Vip Lounge is indeed a marketing arm of MiniVegas-and I suppose you just received a CD and a hardmailer advertising the casinos and a bunch of promotions.

Let me know if you need any further clarification please.

    Take care

    Mike.

This kind of confusion does not help players. With an increase in terms and conditions that apply over a whole group of casinos, players need to be 100% sure of which casinos are in which group. Using marketing that only lists part of a group can mislead players into thinking a casino not mentioned is in a different group.
This causes trouble when welcome bonuses are involved, especially since history shows these CD's sent through the mail are NOT based on a player's information as held with the group, but are structured to appear as though they are, thus leading players to take up what they are invited to, only to find they are ineligible.

For example, I keep receiving a personal invite to try Old Chicago casino, and the email stresses that it is a "personal invitation to myself" - complete bullshine however, it's pretty much spam.

Old Chicago, I believe, but cannot be sure, is a "Vegas partner something or other" casino, and I do not know whether this is the same as MiniVegas/Vegas VIP whatever, or another "Vegas this & that group", or even a stand alone casino, since the email makes no mention of a group, but must have gotten my info from somewhere, so must be.

As far as I remember Old Chicago used to be some lame dump of a Microgaming casino using the old old software. It was part of the Minivegas group. But they appear to have sold it off and are using I guess the Minivegas contact list to encourage people to signup.

I appreciate your comments Vinylweatherman, and I actually agree with you; however, this particular campaign is pretty straightforward in delivering to the letter box a CD with all MiniVegas casinos on it.The enclosed letter highlights 4 of the casinos in particular, but this was decided in an attempt to make the campaign less confusing to the player rather than more. The CD has them all, nice and clear-and so does the Vegas Vip Lounge website.
The Vegas Vip Lounge monicker is a way of branding our group for marketing reasons-please note that, to my knowledge, we have never used the name MiniVegas for marketing purposes:MiniVegas is the name under which our group does business and maintains its licence.Throughout the years, what started as a pretty small operation grew consistently into a group, and the Vegas Vip Lounge name reflects this development. We never meant to mislead anyone by using it-and I strongly believe we would not have any reason to either.

I know what you are talking about here and again I agree with you-this qualifies as spam as it comes to nothing but harassment to the prosepctive player, and there's no reason for it in any case, but even more so when a company is confident enough to reject knowingly misleading methods in order to increase its users (as I said, I genuinely believe we fall under this category at Mini Vegas)
In this particular instance, I can assure you that our mailers were sent exclusively to people who had registered their details with at least one of our casinos and no external database was considered.

I thank you for giving me a chance to publicly address this issue that occasionally pops up here and there on this forum:MiniVegas Group has nothing to do with Old Chicago Casino.I have visited the Casino and can appreciate some similarities with our group's features-but by the same token this is not rare among Microgaming casinos.

I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the points I make here and discussing them further.Bye for now!

I think I've worked out the link. There was a Minivegas casino called Old Samurai - very similar name and similar appearance. This has now been dumped. Old Chicago is a new casino with different owners.....

    This is getting even worse

From another thread about Old Chicago:-

    ...............
But the most funny thing here is, that this time, I clicked on the e-mail link directly in the promo mail (not on the website) that offered the 125%.
The link was named: support@oldchicagocasino, but in fact, it pointed to: support@grandhotelcasino.com. And from them, I got this answer. I wasn't aware of this. Only when I got the answer I saw it..
So, Old Chicago is in the same group as Grand Hotel.

Grand Hotel is listed under CM casinos as:-

    Grand Hotel Casino
    MiniVegas Group
It follows logically that Old Chicago, being in the same group as Grand Hotel, must also be in the MiniVegas group - but Vegas VIP Lounge, the marketing arm, says it's not.

THIS IS WHY PLAYERS ARE SO CONFUSED
