With the possiblity of the UIGEA being overturned in the near future, what are your thoughts and opinions on how we will see the gambling industry change? Do you think that we will see more and more reps/agents who slammed their doors shut on the players around the world, trying to conjole players back to their playgrounds? Or do you think they will be satified with the player bases they now have established since the UIGEA was enacted?

Personally, I think we will see more and more of the casino reps/agents filtering back, trying to get a grasp on how to lure players back into their lairs. Will they offer bonuses of some type? Free chips? What tactics will they use? Since the UIGEA was enacted we have seen new groups of casinos appear, trying to snare players into their folds. Some of these are fantastic groups, IMHO, caring about the players needs, instead of treating them like necessary evils. While there have been some "roguish" groups who have popped up trying to take advantage of unsuspecting players.

Will you as a player go back to one of the casino groups who slammed their door shut in your face, if the UIGEA is overturned, or will you stick with the group(s) you have come to enjoy?

Am just curious on how others view this issue.

Personally I think the casinos will be back all over the USA like a rash.
They should know months in advance which will be ample time to plan, and I predict any USA players which the casinos have details of will get totally bombarded with great offers to bring them back in from day 1.

Slap me if I'm wrong!
:D

I think you are spot on ole boy and the servers will be on overload that day.

Hiya: The other thing you have to remember is how many players in the USA, "Gave Up"? I did. I went more than 2 years without even trying to play again. Most of us used Neteller. So now we had to try someone else, and that alone was enough to stop players from taking a chance.

If this change actually happened, there are a lot of people who would not know about it. It is not like this will be front page news for the average person. So there become the issue, "This was illegal before, and now a banner add, or e mail is saying it is legal now, "Prove It".

Getting back the true Gamblers is easy. Getting back the recreational Gamble, who quit when they were to told to do so, is a whole lot harder.

IF the UIGEA does get overturned I will probably stay where I currently am while waiting for the arrival of some new faces. Names like Harrah's and Horseshoe bring with them a sense of trust for me that I don't have with many online operators. It would also please me to be able to cut out those "middle man" fees of 10% that I feed to ewxpress although we all know that with regulation comes rapacious taxes, taxes and still more taxes. I may end up looking back on that 10% with a nostalgic longing. We shall see.
