    wrong terms and conditions

I read somewhere maybe here that you should take screen shot of a casino's terms and conditions before you sign up and make your deposit especially playing with a bonus. What if you do that but the casino changes their terms of agreement later. Is this legal? I heard about a site that even posted some terms that said to get a first time bonus you had to enter a code.
But my friend didn't enter a code and still got the bonus. Then the casino customer service said sorry our terms on our site are wrong the first bonus is automatic. My friend asked to remove the bonus he didn't want to be tied down by wagering requirement. The casino stalled and didn't change terms nor removed bonus.

    Is that bait and switch?
thank you sorry for the long post.

    To answer your 2 questions:-

    1) There is no 'legal' or 'illegal' with most online casinos - they are beyond the reach of the law.
This might sound very risky to you, but I assure you that if you stick to reputable places you will not have any such problems.

    2) It's either 'Bait & switch' or just gross incompetence by the casino - both as bad as each other IMO. If you name the casino here we can tell you if it's a rogue or not. If it's not, and your friend hasn't started wagering yet he could Pitch a Bitch with MaxD here at CM to see if he can get his deposit back.

Anyway, welcome to the forum - everyone here will point you in the right direction!

The idea for taking screenshots of terms came about because some casinos were offering over generous promotions, and then trying to renege on the deal "on the sly" by changing the terms, but then denying it, and claiming the players must have misread them.

There is also the "wayback machine" archive of previous webpages, and many casinos have been busted by using this to prove what terms were on a particular date in the past.

Screenshots are not always enough, as some casinos will just claim they have been faked, or cannot be verified as having been in place on a particular date. When a casino starts playing these games though, consider them rogue.
