When is it time to withdraw?

Thought it might be interesting to ask when players choose to withdraw.

Please feel free to add any comments.

never use Coitus Interruptus myself ...it has too high a failure rate.... stick to the rhythm method its much safer ....and approved by the Pope too.

I try to reach a certain limit, increasing it along the way-

9 out of 10 times i end up tilting away my money.

Yeah when I set a target bankroll and reach it, I tend to replace it with a higher target

    Nice poll.
Basically I play for entertainment so I will withdraw only when I am lucky enough to still be ahead when I have had my fill.

Maybe you could add another poll with a slight twist, "When is the best time to withdraw?" because for me they are Two different things.
Also it would depend on the games you play

    Slots for eg,
If you are well up but have just gone a long while without a feature and then it sucked, Runaway! (but I never do no matter how many times I prove that theory to be true )

Hiya. Great Poll, there should be more of them.

I use a staggered withdraw plan. I never take any bonus, so as not to have any restrictions.. My first withdraw is always at doubling my deposit. The next withdraw is whn i have now tripeled my deposit. I think it is very important to, for a lack of a better term, "Be playing with net Profit" and having your initial investment back in the bank, vs the other way around.

No one is a Robot, and no matter how long you have played, or how disiplined you are, once in a while We all make mistakes. I want my Mistake to cost me profit, and not initial bankroll.

imhop: Just as important, is, "What do you do with your Winnings"? Instead of sitting on it, or losing it, i spend it. It is nice to look around and point at things you have, and say, "Bodog paid for that, Wynn paid for this, Club World bought that for me, and so on. Weeeeeeeeeee.

    Great poll!

Obviously I voted "when I finish WR" since that is the way I control my gambling - a pre-set stopping point.
I can see however, how other people can use different milestones if they are not using bonuses (I especially like love2winalot's method), and that is something I might even have to do myself soon if the blinking casinos keep on increasing the wagering requirements!

I withdraw when I have met bonus requirements if I'm lucky..long time ago that would have not been the case. I would have kept playing to hit it really big then end up losing big.

I leave a little in the till to play with.
    Waiting on something interesting

I withdraw when I have reached a certain amount.

For example, I deposit $200, then I would withdraw when I have reached $500
