If we didn't lose it, how would they get paid?

We as gamblers have to lose money. We owe it to the casino operators to provide us with hours of endless non- wins and nothing in the bonus round if we are even lucky enough to see a bonus round.

Do not complain (wink) it is understood that we are going to lose.

If you lose enough you might get the switch turned back on to make you feel good about it, but always keep in mind....

You cannot, and will not ever take the bread from the casino industry's mouth

They must feed on the hard working depositors to survive and if you are really lucky, and lose enough they will throw a few dollars your way and take that too.

Aren't we lucky to be a part of this wonderful world.

Thank your lucky stars and visa or mastercard

At online poker it does not matter to the operator if player wins or loses - they will get the same profit from that player either way. Same thing applies to sports exchanges like Betfair Exchange - they just collect the commission, no matter if the player wins or loses long term.

Just wanted to mention these examples since you didn't restrict your subject to online casinos only I assume.

... unless of course one of their executives or 'insiders' knows the backdoor into the software which allows him to view other players hole cards, then sets up player accounts for himself (and 'friends') ....

I understand how online poker is supposed to work. But someone has to pay the rake do they not?

All players pay rake - even ones who win $100,000+ per year.
The poker room & the affiliates who promote them get a proportion of that rake.
The was the point Next To You was making - poker rooms can NEVER lose money no matter what happens.

Being a casino affiliate I get to see player stats and you might be surprised at just how many winners there really are; biggest one I saw was a player who won $44K in one day...
Some casinos could make a loss some months if they had too many people doing that, but you are right, in the long run the house advantage of all casino games means they will win in the long run no matter what.
But that's good isn't it? If casinos didn't make money they wouldn't exist and we'd all have to go & sign up at a needlework or train-spotters forum...

There's a cooking/recipe forum I've been posting on, but there's this bitch there who calls me out every time I post a new recipe. One teaspoon instead of two, it's 450 not 425, shaken not stirred....know what I mean?

Far too much controversy for my liking, I think I'll hang here instead.

Theres always casinos that will make losses mainly because of badly designed promos. And if the casino is hit hard they start stalling tactics until they have got enough funds to pay the winners, if they ever pay. There have been, and will always be casinos that go bust.
So the casino doesnt always win but thats usually down to the lack of competence.

Casino's will take our last pound if they can. But then again so will the banks and the the hedge fund managers. Not to mention the government. Let's face it - everyone is out to screw us!

But then again casino's have to compete with each other for our business as customers. And sometimes they can get a bit too greedy themselves .

I like casino's because unlike banks and governments they are at least upfront about it.

Also they still give the little guy a chance. A guy in Portsmouth won £2m on a 50p spin last year .
