Rome Casino...Better Be Careful If U Play There

I was one of those suckers that deposited and played there earlier this year(08) around october i think. Anyway really did think the place was a joke so i decided obviously to never play there again.

Then today i got this email from them and thought i would download and try them again:

    Dear kassiap,

It has been a while since the last time you visited us and we wanted to let you know that a $24.80 Balance is still remaining in your account for you to enjoy our games.

Please feel free to login anytime and in case you need any assistance do not hesitate contacting us and we'll be more than glad to assist you. We are here to help.

    Best Regards,

    I must say again that this place is a total JOKE....so i go and figure i will play and see what happens and then all this happens;

1st-My balance is not what they say it is 18 cents and the bonus balance is $24.80 and i would need to deposit again in order to play..so right there that is a joke to send me an email stating i have a PLAYABLE balance. You cannot lock just the bonus balance and play it you must play from your real balance and the the bonus is realeased....so that way i would need to deposit again or just get real lucky with 18 cents

They must be real desperate for money to send emails like this and dupe you into going and hoping you are stupid enough to deposit again.

    2nd- and this is the biggest dumbest thing i have ever seen in my life.i get this little side note when i log in;

Thank you for playing with us however your last deposit was declined because you have reached you deposit limit.

Please submit front and back copies of your Visa ending in "0617" and copies of your identification as well.

Once our security department approves these items a further bonus of $25 will be placed into your bonus account

    Blah Blah Blah

Okay most of your will see nothing wrong because most places ask for id and such..just one thing...okay 3 things

I only deposited once and it was NOT declined(that is why i got a bonus and have 18cents in my account)

They asked me for my "visa" card copies...i do not use a "visa" online and only use a prepaid "mastercard" for online stuff...okay maybe they made a mistake with the card..........NO............my card does not end with "0617" and none of my other cards do either

So then who's card are they asking for and what kind of casino asks you for a wrong card number and the best thing of all.I went to live chat and they cut me off and when i go back and try to log in they locked my account.

That is my long story. For any of you playing there or thinking about it ,you might want to change your mind and run from this place and other's associated with it very very fast

    thanks for reading

    Kass

They are clearly in one HELL of a mess with your account. Perhaps be grateful it got locked.

This is also a SERIOUS security issue, not theirs, but possibly YOURS. They are asking you for ID, but are quoting ANOTHER PLAYER'S DATA in their request.

If you CANNOT play the bonus without making a deposit, then WTF were all those "we'll give you a free chip to try us out" offers about

I can understand mistaking Mastercard for VISA, but getting the card number wrong is far more serious.

Maybe they are so mixed up they thought YOU were trying to defraud them when you were merely pointing out these inconsistencies.
If a deposit was declined, it may not show up at all on their system, so maybe a deposit WAS attempted on your account, and either you forgot (after getting frustrated and giving up), or there is another player registered with very similar details, and they now suspect multiple account fraud.

You should ask the rep to have a look at your account and find out what is going on, even if you have already decided never to play there again. The information would be helpful to to others who might play there since the other choices available for them are far worse (Virtual group?).

This is the reason why i only use my prepaid m/c and not any other bank credit cards.

I thought it was interesting "vinyl" suggesting that maybe someone else had tryed to deposit on my account...I thought we always had to worry about people stealing our money and not trying to make "fraudulant" deposits on your account instead

I know for a fact that it was not me that ever got declined as it was many months ago and i only deposited once ..then felt cheated by them and then deleted the casino and file from my puter.

So there is NO way that i had tryed to redeposit.

If anyone had my prepaid m/c i can just cancel it and pay another 20$ for a new card and new number. That is why i only use prepaid m/c's online for transactions. In case dim witted casino security departments such as this one seemingly give out random numbers of credit cards to any client at there casino.

I do feel very relieved that my case really does not have many security issues for me in the long run.Just a pay as you go credit card....they can take my $1.81 on there now as i will be changing my card tomorrow

This can be common in poker, or casinos where players can bet against each other. The aim is to deposit into a "hacked" account with a stolen credit/debit card, or other means where the funds are stolen. The "hacked" account then loses this money to another "player", or series of players, and a withdrawal is attempted from a "clean" account in the chain. This is often called "Chip Dumping", and is disliked by poker sites as it leaves them vulnerable if the funds can be spirited away before they cotton on, and leaving the poker site liable to repay the stolen funds without themselves having seized them.

If CS quote you a wrong card number, AND tell you that deposits have been declined when YOU know you have yourself NEVER had this happen on the account, then the most likely scenario is an attempt of the above, assuming, of course, that the whole thing is not just a giant blunder by the casino.

If this had happened the other way around; YOU quoting "wrong" details to the casino, the casino would instantly accuse you of fraud, and give you no right of appeal, so simply saying "sorry, all a big mistake, here's $50" is hardly in balance - yet this is the most likely outcome.

I have found out that Rome is associated with Winward in someway, so I would stay far far away.

If memory serves me right, it's only that one of the ex-Winward people is at Rome now (Jan someone?). Just going by memory though - I have been wrong before That's probably where the once-weekly cashout idea came from.

    ROME CASINO -USERS BEWARE!!!!

Hello everyone- I'm new at this and never really introduced myself. My name is Lucy! I've been a member for a little while but mostly I did lots of reading and observing

I just want to caution anyone that's been thinking of becoming a rome member or has become one recently. I strongly believe that having been there for quite some time there are a long list of issues I've been dealing with from when I first started playing there.

For starters, The staff when I first joined- were some of the most unorganized, inconsistent individuals I had ever encountered. From one person to the next- the rules changed, the mood changed, the willingness to assist changed- it was horrible.

Second- Getting a payout was an UTTER nightmare. First having to wait to have a withdraw approved could take anywhere from 3-7 days. After which, it then takes FOREVER to have it actually processed- in the meantime I heard every possible reason why it hadn't arrived- it was lost- it was couriered- it was pending- it was "on the way" ...it was being "dealt with"...I got into fights with the staff, the security dept. and anyone else that tried feeding me nonsense.

I don't know if this just something I experienced personally, but about two months ago- after I actually got paid (after waiting two months for it) the entire slot system changed- the bonus almost never came- when it did the winnings were brutal, OVERALL the payout was awful ..etc. So I inquired as to why? The manager told me that because the casino had taken too many losses and they had to change the system to recover. I don't know if I'm wrong in feeling this way but that doesn't exactly sound like a very good answer?! So was he basically admitting to me that the system was set NOT TO PAY?

After months of complaining I was told over and over that the casino was different- "better then ever". There was new inhouse staff, the financing was being done consistently and daily and that if I kept at it I'd win and they would process my winnings right away. Let's just say- I won about 9 days ago- (nothing special- ABOUT $500) I waited for 4 days- and my withdrawal sat there- never gettin approved- I contacted someone very HIGH up there- who told me it would be directed to the right person and processed ASAP. NEVER HAPPENED. Out of the sheer frustration after waiting for so long and getting no response, I just cancelled it and played it all- DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED ME TO.

I've reached my final breaking point with them- I closed my account and will not look back.

It's those small things I believe that make a casino trusthworthy and worth being a member- a place that respects its members and honours their business and their WORD, not by neglecting them- but by being reliable and organized.

    THATS MY PIECE.

Beware of ROME & I believe they own and operate DICELAND casino also.

    Cheers!!

    Thanks for the post Lucy

The manager told me that because the casino had taken too many losses and they had to change the system to recover.
Please tell me you have that in writing.....

I would also caution everyone to avoid Rome. All we hear from them is 'this is going to change' and 'we are making things right' blah blah blah...but nothing has actually happened to make me confident enough to play there.

Just stick with the accredited casinos here at CM

    Hello,

The length of time it takes to approve withdrawals is 5 working days, as stated on our site. This may mean the player must wait a full week sometimes, and, due to the recent problems with ewalletxpress, our most popular withdrawal options, we got a bit delayed as we immediately tried to move all the funds to other payment methods, and now that the dust has settled, back to eWallet. I'm sure we are not the only ones who experienced delays due to this problem. I apologize if the delay was severe, please PM me if you'd like to discuss it further, give me your user name and I will find out more. However I do not think a few days delay, which is quite common and is happening especially now after the problems with eWallet, is reason to cry out against our Casino in general.

As for that comment by the Manager - I am the CS Manager, and I said no such thing, please let me know who you spoke to.

    Kind Regards,

    Noah

Sorry Noah, but there is NO reasonable excuse why withdrawals cant be received via a Web Wallet within 48 hours. If a whole lot of other casinos can do it (and some within 6 hours), then Rome can do it. If you think a week is quite reasonable for a player to wait for their winnings, then I suggest you hitch a ride on the next space shuttle back to Earth and head for the door marked 'reality check'.

I was willing to give Rome the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but I just couldnt be bothered with them now...and Im sure Im not the only one. It is too late to repair the brand IMO. Noah, if you really believe in treating players well and excellent customer service as you state, then dump Rome and start a casino yourself - at least you would start with a clean slate - but I reckon you are flogging a dead horse now.
