Naturally I disagree with the two posts immediately above. Low rolling on slots will give you WAY more playing time than any other game IMO. Also they are allowed at 100% in all bonuses, which is a big plus. VWM hit the nail on the head; low roll, play the right slots, use bonuses. Not only have I have masses of playing time doing that, but I've also been profiting from it for the last 4 years quite nicely too!

For getting £70 to last more than 10 seconds, the low rolling strategy of Kasino King is my recommendation. This relies heavily on getting value from slots play, including the use of casino promotions to increase both playing time, and chances of winning.

While playing a "low variance" slot will give you more playing time, there is the small matter of determining which slots these are, looks can be deceptive (and this is no accident ). One might think that the MG slot Cashapillar with 100 lines is super low variance, but you would be wrong.

I was just thinking the other day that for newbies, starting out on online slots is a nightmare, especially at MG. There's what, about 200 slots to chose from? Maybe time for another Beginners Guide page on my site!
In the meantime; When I play MG's these days I normally run through the bonus video slots alphabetically. When I do this there are some slots I just ignore (cos they're crap), some I occasionally risk (high variance), some I like enough to play most times and some I love & always play.

Playtech, although "crap", seem to have much lower variance slots than Microgaming, and playing at 1p per line here can have you going for hours, even days.

Wagerworks and Rival, well I have not tried them, but they have their fans, as well as critics.

I can't agree about Playtech being crap (maybe you haven't played there recently?). OK, they don't have as many slots as MG (thank goodness!) and they do have some crap ones too, but they also have some pretty good ones!
Like you say, most are low variance so give good playing time. I do like the software - the only reason I don't play there very often is the lack of any Playtechs offering repeat bonuses on a par with the other main softwares.
Note to newbies: More Playtechs are rogues than not - tread with care!

Some WW slots are OK, but again some are crap. They also don't have many to chose from.
Rival now have quite a good variety of slots, but like MG it's knowing which ones to play or not...

Hi guys. Do you peeps have any tips on how to make your money last at online casinos? I deposit £70 and in 30 minutes its all gone playing minimum bets on the microgaming video slots.

It happened to me at this is vegas casino. I am tempted to just stick to sportsbook betting tbh.

i think the simple answer to make your money last longer is buy a book instead, i heard war and peace offers good value for money, or 1000 things to do with an elastic band is quite good,

I myself agree with aka23 and KK!
I start out low rolling on the slots, if the one I pick isn't being nice, I just switch to another one! It might take a little bit to find one that is in the "give" mood, but I manage to stay alive. Once I find one that is being generous enough to bring me to twice my deposit amount I slighty increase my bet. (ie: On a 15 line slot, I bet 1c per line.. once I build I up it ,, I increase my bet to 2c per line) .. if it decides not to give with my increased bet, I bring my bet size back down.
If I manage to get to 3 times my deposit I try two large spins. If they don't pay I go back down.
(It may not sound like much, but I have managed alot of playtime and many cashouts this way!)


The most important thing to remember is IF you do take a bonus.. be very careful what games you play. Slots are allowed on almost all bonuses where VP, BJ, etc are usually not allowed and could be used as a reason for non payment of winnings.
Always read the T&C's to any bonus you might take.

I do agree with this 100%!! As far as bonuses go., I have learned to use them alot more sparingly for exactly that reason! To me at times the playthrough can be agonizing!

Once you decide the amount to deposit, do these 2 things:

1. Deposit the money into an interest-bearing bank account; and

2. Play at any casino you want in free mode.

Your money will last forever!
