New MG slot Sure Win... Sure Confusing!

I first saw this latest Loaded clone at Ladbrokes, and fairly naturally assumed it was a casino-specific one like The Palace Group or Belle Rock slots, after all they have their name all over it...

So I was really confused when it started appearing at other MG's, like Spin Palace below.
I guess someone got at it which a large bottle of tipex...

It 'fits' the Ladbrokes brand I guess...

Still, interesting to see MG doing this.

SURE WIN slot is one of the five new games listed in this month's game release from Microgaming (see press release posted yesterday in this section.)

I, too thought it was a Ladbrokes exclusive, but its inclusion in the release, together with KK's observations here suggests that it's now generally available.

Hi all, now about the new games the cashapillar slot 100 liner, now what if you got 5 reels off all wilds would the pay out be 2 million coins?

Or how about if you got a single bonus symbol on reel one with all other reels 1-5 showing wilds would the payout be a big fat zero.

Its just on the payout it shows no wins for wilds, but at a guess above it says 2 millions coins so how many off them 2 million coins would you lose for as i said before having one bonus symbol on reel one.

I am lost on this one maybe you too.

If all five reels are wilds, the wild symbol substitutes for the highest paying regular symbol (the purple caterpillar with the gift boxes). Five of these pays 1,000x the line bet. If you get this on a max bet, you win the 1,000 times 100 lines times 10 coins per line, times 2 because the wild doubles the win. 1000 x 100 x 10 x 2 = 2,000,000 coins. Multiply by 3 if it happens during the free spins = 6,000,000 coins.

If there were a bonus symbol on the first reel, the 20 paylines which begin in that position would be losers. The other 80 paylines would be treated as (doubled) five-of-a-kind wins of the symbol that appears in each of the other four positions on the first reel.

This is a little used option with MG slots. The only other example I have seen is "Double Magic", where nearly all MG casinos have it, but BelleRock have a version where the wild electric star is replaced by the BelleRock symbol. Ladbrokes have done the same with a 5 reel slot. It is probably cheaper than having a bespoke slot done just for them.

What comes as a surprise is that we do not see more of this with the video slots - we certainly have this with the other games, just look at the card images on the tables, usually just the backs, but sometimes the faces too (7 Sultans).

I had a brief conversation with Ed Ware a while ago about the possibility of a 32RED bespoke slot (I think the brand lends itself very well, roulette style "free spin" selector etc, top reward 32 free spins or something... Bonus ends when you hit black maybe, or something -- you get the idea.).

I can't remember the exact outcome but I remember him saying the logistics of creating something entirely new from scratch were huge and, if they did do it, it'd be based on a current offering.

To be fair, that's what the majority of the Vegas B&M's do, almost all are 'Triple Seven' slots with Ceasars Palace, Bally's etc blah blah blah replacing the good pictures

I only play Belle Rock every now and again for the bespoke belle rock slot (absurd I know, but I do!)... Slot players are fickle and stupid, a well branded unique slot is good business for a casino, regardless of how "similar" it is under the skin.

I'm actually surprised that more slots aren't made skinnable.

I mean, loads of programs are easily skinnable these days, and any wannabe graphic artist can make a skin.

I guess the people who design software for online casinos don't think in those terms. I wonder if there is a market for a fully skinnable (add your own graphics) online casino software package.

Or maybe gamblers move around from casino to casino and feel more comfortable with familiar-looking games?

MG could help by making up a game that is ONLY used with branded skins for each casino. Currently, all branded video slots are a version (clone) of an existing slot. Sure Win is the first time I have seen a skin put on a game, rather than the branded game being given a separate identity, as is the case with the BelleRock and Fortune Lounge slots, which are Thunderstruck clones.

In fact, MG video slots ARE "skinable", all that would be needed is to create bespoke versions of the files holding the reel symbol images. It is likely that operators do not have the expertise to do this, and rely on MG to do it for them. Even PLAYERS can "skin" the slots if they feel the need for a diversion from gambling
