I think that is fair comment, with the exception of the intent to deceive, Nash.
I don't believe that there is any such intention in issuing informative releases on new game releases - it is rather, as I think Zoozie commented, that all the mechanics and odds calculations may be a super-abundance of information for the average slot player, and therefore superfluous in a marketing sense, where the objective is principally to announce the game's arrival and describe it in general terms.
But the point is taken that if the maximum achievable winnings are mentioned in the release without going into more detail on the odds etc, then it may be a better idea not to mention these at all.
The point I am trying to make is that
imo the objective of a [marketing] release is not to provide an in-depth study of the game, but to announce its arrival and describe it in broad terms that will appeal to all players.
