    Exclamation New Games at Intercasino

I thought I'd take a crack at reviewing the latest games at Inter. They've got seven new slots, four of which are a linked jackpot group. Here goes...

    Movie Mayhem

There are four different slot games that share a four-level random jackpot, but there’s a twist. Instead of randomly being awarded one of the jackpots, you get a bonus round. In the bonus round, you select from the nine snacks and drinks looking for movie tickets that award the jackpot prizes. A little different. If you get the movie ticket on one of the first picks, you keep going since you may win a higher jackpot (but usually not, of course)

The four games are Silent Screen, Outta Space Adventure, Sunday Classics, and Fantasy Realm. Artistically, I personally didn’t care for Fantasy Realm and Sunday Classics (too girlie for me). Silent Screen had a really cool retro-cinema look to it and Outta Space Adventure had an effective, campy 60’s/70’s style to it. Mechanically, they’ve all got free game features to go along with the jackpot-awarding bonus round. I think Silent Screen is the best with 15 games at triple multiplier. Sunday Classics is only 10 x 3, Outta Space is 20 x 2, and Fantasy Realm is 25 x 2. I’ll let the math experts weigh in on the relative volatility of the paytables and multipliers.

    Street Fighter

I may have spent a little bit of time in my youth in front of video games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc., so I was really intrigued by this one. There are several interesting bits to this game. First, there are five fighter characters that can be used as the substitute symbol and you have to pick which one you want. The one you choose will also be the one that fights against Bison in the bonus feature. The bonus feature is a combination of free games and fighting prizes and is really cool. Reels 2 and 4 are all-wild during the feature. The reels spin and normal free spin prizes are given (and they add up quickly with the two wild reels). Added to the reels are punch and kick icons that make your characters fight each other too. When your fighter attacks Bison, you get extra prizes. The spins continue until one of the fighters is KO’d, so the longer it takes for one of them to go down, the more free spins you get.

Artistically, there’s lots of movement in the background art and I think the sounds are taken right from the game itself. Math-wise, it seems like the hit frequency of the bonus game is a little low compared to other games, but the rewards are really high. I would venture to say that this one is a pretty high volatility game, but again, I defer to people like Zoozie who are experts on that subject.

    Dads Day In

A 50’s/60’s themed game who’s premise is all about Dad staying home with the kids, something that didn’t usually happen in the 50’s and 60’s, so it’s a pretty cute concept. With 30 lines, a top prize of 6,000 and a bonus game that can award free games at 3x multiplier, this one seems like it’s a pretty high volatility slot. Overall, I thought the cash/free game awards in the bonus round were great.

    Roamin’ Gnome

This one is probably the best of the lot. The artwork is amazing. Instead of royals, the symbols are made from different country flags with the little gnome guy dressed up like he’s from each of the countries. There are two features; a mini-feature and a full bonus round. The mini-feature changes all the symbols on a reel to substitute symbols to and re-pays you if a gnome lands on top of a reel that has a substitute symbol on it. It took me a few spins to figure out what he was doing there, but I was happy to get paid twice either way. The only thing I didn’t like was when you trigger the mini-feature, but it doesn’t result in a payout, it still takes a few seconds to get through the animation sequence. That one flaw aside, I liked it a lot. When you get the main bonus game, it (like Dads Day In) is also a combination of cash and free games. I like this option. Free games (at 2x multiplier) give you good potential for a big bonus payout and you still get to play a bonus round first.

Overall, I give a good grade to these games. The Movie Mayhem jackpot is cool and there are two out of four themes that I really liked. Street Fighter and Roamin’ Gnome will get lots of attention from me too. Dads Day In is a little weaker than SF and RG, but still quite a playable game.

    Great reviews - thanks!

I will be trying your recommended ones after tomorrow (when I get my May monthlies!)

I guess the lack of replies thus far indicates the sad fact that half the worlds gaming population (USA) can't play at these casinos...

    Great reviews!

I changed the title of the thread so we know this is Intercasino.

I'm hoping to have some time at the end of the week to give these a go. These look like some great games...just waiting for the Meister Slots

    Good review

I got bored playing these after just 50 - 60 spins on each slot. There was nothing unique to keep me interested, just standard free spin or pick'em bonus games.

I played Steet Fighter the most and it is unique but I found the bonus round was way too difficult to hit for all it paid. I hit the bonus twice and each time it paid around 30X bet.

Although these are new slots they still feel "outdated" to me. Infact the whole cryptologic software I feel is outdated.

I hate also how each game is loaded with the bet set to $1 per line. It is way too easy to accidentally press spin without realising.

I think the best cryptologic game is by far "Native Treasure". The thrill of hitting the 100 free spins knowing there is a good chance of the feature retriggering for many more 100's of spins makes this an excellent slot.

    Hey Matthew,

If anyone from the casino is reading, this point is noteworthy.
I would like to see something lower than $1 per line as the default.
It wasn't a big deal when the biggest game was 9 lines, but with 20, 25, and even 30 line games, it can't be the coin size that most players use, so why is it the default? They should set it to whatever coin size is used by more people.
I would have suggested remembering your last coin size, but what you finish betting with isn't usually the same as what you started with, so that's not such a good idea (although it would be better than $1 for most people).

bump-curious to know if Zoozie or anyone else has looked into the math or features of these games and can add to my non-mathematical review.

    Thx!
