do i need a website to be an affiliate?

I was just wondering if i can get affiliate benefits if i do not register as one? Is there any other way? I have more than 10 friends that i have encouraged to play online and they are willing to join up to whomever online casino site i tell them to go. I actually emailed a couple but none of them answer back.

    Just wondering???
btw some of this guys have 3k to 5k US$ to play with each time.

Well I'll be honest, I havn't a monkeys. You could try emailing the Big casinos and ask them what the story is on it. I can't help you much there mate.
It's an interesting area though, as I am pondering the idea of setting up ( well re-doing an existing one ) a website and joining an affiliate program for casinos and the like or maybe setting up a small poker room for a larf so if anyone has any info on that they can let me know if the have any thoughts.

You don't need a website to be an affiliate but it always helps. Usually programs want to make sure that you are going to promote them legitimately and not do CPA fraud or something of that nature.

You can always email them and ask for a bonus code and let them know your plans on how you are going to promote them offline.

No, you don't need a website with most programs. But not having one could make getting approval harder at some places. First thing to do is read through their T&C's as the detail should be there.
Did you e-mail the casinos themselves or the affiliate people? In most cases these are run completely separately and have different e-mail addresses.

    Good luck,

Or maybe you could team up with honest affiliates who recommends your friends to various casinos and you get a slice of the fees. I know this reduces what you might have gotten but this will save you much time and energy. As you said, none of them have answered you back.

Quick answer before I hit the sack tonight.

Depends on the program. Most will allow you to signup without having to list a site while others will either deny you or will question your marketing strategies if you don't have a site or if you put in a fake site name, or have a broken site. Just be honest with what you are doing and any smart affiliate manager should be able to see it.

Personally if you have that sort of reputation power that your friends value your opinion that much I would recommend you start your own site or your own blog and make some good money at it. You can of course do it by emails but it is up to you on how to do it but to make sure you are not just spamming your friends. I had a friend do this to me once and I flipped out but that's just me.

I do think players can and do make the best affiliates. They have played the games themselves and have figured some things out on their own and can now guide/coach other players to things they can trust. Some of my best affiliates are players themselves so they truly understand things from the players' point of view and work hard to take care of them.

    ok now sleep
