I was just wondering if i can get affiliate benefits if i do not register as one? Is there any other way? I have more than 10 friends that i have encouraged to play online and they are willing to join up to whomever online casino site i tell them to go. I actually emailed a couple but none of them answer back.

Just wondering???
btw some of this guys have 3k to 5k US$ to play with each time.

Well I'll be honest, I havn't a monkeys. You could try emailing the Big casinos and ask them what the story is on it. I can't help you much there mate.
It's an interesting area though, as I am pondering the idea of setting up ( well re-doing an existing one ) a website and joining an affiliate program for casinos and the like or maybe setting up a small poker room for a larf so if anyone has any info on that they can let me know if the have any thoughts.

Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Faction...:D OR A

You don't need a website to be an affiliate but it always helps. Usually programs want to make sure that you are going to promote them legitimately and not do CPA fraud or something of that nature.

You can always email them and ask for a bonus code and let them know your plans on how you are going to promote them offline.

No, you don't need a website with most programs. But not having one could make getting approval harder at some places. First thing to do is read through their T&C's as the detail should be there.
Did you e-mail the casinos themselves or the affiliate people? In most cases these are run completely separately and have different e-mail addresses.

Good luck,
KK

Or maybe you could team up with honest affiliates who recommends your friends to various casinos and you get a slice of the fees. I know this reduces what you might have gotten but this will save you much time and energy. As you said, none of them have answered you back.

Quick answer before I hit the sack tonight.

Depends on the program. Most will allow you to signup without having to list a site while others will either deny you or will question your marketing strategies if you don't have a site or if you put in a fake site name, or have a broken site. Just be honest with what you are doing and any smart affiliate manager should be able to see it.

Personally if you have that sort of reputation power that your friends value your opinion that much I would recommend you start your own site or your own blog and make some good money at it. You can of course do it by emails but it is up to you on how to do it but to make sure you are not just spamming your friends. I had a friend do this to me once and I flipped out but that's just me.

I do think players can and do make the best affiliates. They have played the games themselves and have figured some things out on their own and can now guide/coach other players to things they can trust. Some of my best affiliates are players themselves so they truly understand things from the players' point of view and work hard to take care of them.

ok now sleep :)

i think so too John. They already know what they are getting into and have been given the best advice about playing online. In a way that is the reason they are just waiting for me to tell them where to go and sign up. And that is the reason why i am also choosy with regards to the casinos. Thanks

Setting up a simple website is cheap, compared with the gains that can be made if you already have customers lined up.

The big danger is looking like a spammer to the affiliate manager. I have joined a couple of schemes, and they always have a section where you list your websites.
Without a website, you will have to prove to them that you are not going to spam.
Not having a site can be a problem, as most schemes give you personalised banners, with a tracking tag, and a simple website is the best place to host these. They can also be included in HTML Emails, however, many players do not like directly downloading from Emails (security risk), and may well follow general advice to type the site name directly into the browser and go from there - and here's the problem, if you have no site of your own, they will type the casino website's URL, and this will NOT track their sign-up to your affiliate tag, and you won't get paid.

Many casinos operate a "refer a friend" scheme, although the potential payments are nowhere near as good, often a miserly $25 finder's fee, with your friend getting a similar free chip.

Look into your ISP contract, many provide a small amount of webspace free with the account. This can be used to host a small referral website for your friends, although it will not have it's own URL, but would be a page on the ISP's site, for example, hxxp://www.myispservice/userpages/mypages.

I got my own site for 35 or so, and an annual fee of under 20 to keep it going, so not at all expensive, even for just having it as a hobby.

It can cost a lot less than that. I pay under $10 per month for hosting my site which gets a good amount of traffic, has hundreds of pages, a forum, etc. The hosting cost is not expensive. What is costly, is the amount of time and effort required to make a quality site.

If you just want a simple site to refer friends to casinos and simplify approval from affiliate programs, I'd look into a blog. You can get one for free, they are simple to run, they are user friendly, and they facilitate networking among friends.

I wonder if you could get (more) good advice from one of the affiliate forums that are out there? This sort of thing must have been done before

Another thought, especially if you have no interest in spending a lot of time developing a site, is that you could always buy a developed site that someone is selling off. You will be able to add affiliate programs to it easily if it already developed and it looks OK. If your friends are going to spend that much money per month, my guess is that you could get all the costs back within a couple of weeks.

Well I am serious but I'm curious as to how you could help me
madbob
I could ask some people to do the work for the existing site for you reasonably priced. Philippines is an outsourcing destination now and lots of this stuff is being done here. I used to teach and still do modules and a lot of my students and former students are into this stuff.

I am thinking of looking into the possibility of doing some sort of review/info site. Asked around for cost and they tell me it wont really cost that much. I hope i do not have to wait too long to get affiliated. my friends are getting anxious.

suggestion

I believe if you have potential to generate more real money players for which casino you like to apply, they will accept you. There is an online casino will accept any kinds of affiliates to join of their affiliate program even without website! If you can bring at least more than 10 real money players and you will get 35% revenue share percentage from them. This casino is good and great. If you really want to make money. I strongly suggest that you may contact with them. Their website is: www.dafa888.com. Trust me!!!my friend

Watch the spammy posts. Thanks!

The topic is how to do this offline.

Don't forget business cards

If you are asking friends to join, try using a business card that will tell them where to find your page or blog, or if you are just promoting one favourite casino, I would think you could just have them type the address with the coding that a link from a page would add. The biggest problem with the second suggestion is that this would likely involve your friends typing a lengthy address that includes numbers and symbols, and a typo could mean some other dude gets your dough.

I realize you are trying to avoid having a website, but if you wish to hire someone to do a simple page with a few clickable links, try contacting a local highschool & have guidance or the computer teacher suggest someone. Under $50 I would expect, and you could check out their pages (teens all have them). It doesn't need to be pretty in order to work, and if you are not trying to solicit other than a few personal acquaintances, you would not need to worry about search engine placement.

And you can give your friends a couple of extra cards to pass along. We sometimes forget that there were marketing tools before computers.

Good luck to you. I plan to do something similar myself, because a lot of the bus patrons on the casino shuttles have been very curious about my online gambling experiences, but I am still researching, because you need to feel VERY confident about the sites you promote to family and friends, because if they have a problem, even just a run of bad luck, it could rebound and affect a relationship.
