    Casinos policies

    Hi,

I just got mail from Grand Mondial casino about some reload bonus, of course the mail didn't include any bonus terms so I started browsing their site for them. While I was browsing, I found this:

    Promotion Abuse and Policy

    Definition

    1. Grand Mondial deems promotion abuse to include but not to be limited to any of the following:
    A. receiving a promotion bonus then cashing in without demonstrating a reasonable degree of play
    B. attempting a large wager(s) with the bonus funds in an attempt to circumvent play through wager requirements of the bonus system
    C. purchasing and playing slots to maximize the opening match slot offer then switching their play to non-slot games and using abusive wagering tactics/systems. This abuse allows players to use bonus credits earned with slot play to use on or hedge against wagering losses on their non-slot game play.

    Possible Resulting Actions

    2. Grand Mondial audits cash-ins to determine if winnings are a result of promotion abuse. It is possible for promotion abuse to occur even though wagering is compliant with the standard terms and conditions and bonus system rules. If promotion abuse is identified, then Grand Mondial reserves the right at management’s discretion to take the following action(s) against the abusive player:
    A) may be banned from receiving or redeeming further promotions
    B) may be banned from play in the casino
    B) may have account terminated with immediate effect
    C) Player information forwarded to a central database resulting in players being barred from receiving bonuses at any other casinos.
    D) Cash-ins may be denied, reversed and/or considered void. In such cases, only original purchase amount may be allowed for withdrawal.

don't know how usual this is with online casinos, but come on, they could basically say that "If you win anything with your deposit, you're abusing our terms and we terminate your winnings"

This added to those 50X wagering requirements makes me wonderI, why they need to offer these bonuses since it seems to be so big loss to them that they can't allow anybody to win anything with these "bonuses".

I know the competition is hard and they do what they need to survive, but the key to survive shouldn't be these sneaky bonuses, it should be something else, that makes player come back to your casino and lose your money.

I just can't believe any other business would survive like this, advertising like "get your new Porsche, only $999". And then hidden somewhere in their webpage are small printed T&C's that you don't actually own that car and that you need to pay $999 every month for 50 years before you get the keys.

    I love C:

"C) Player information forwarded to a central database resulting in players being barred from receiving bonuses at any other casinos."

Who made them god of the online gambling world? Do they have to actually prove a player is a bonus abuser, or do they just go into this "database", no questions asked? Is this a central MG database, or for their group only?

Reminds me of the days way back when....if someone accused you of being a commie, you had to prove you weren't...not the other way around.

Sorry, but I think this is just another bad hit to the playshare group. First the white label BS, and now this?
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

Here is another pearler from VIP Casinos - they sent me a nice New Year 100% bonus up to $500 with reasonable wagering requirements, but after a full reading of the general terms and conditions I found this little gem:

Management reserves the right to confiscate bonus and all winnings associated if play is deemed as non-recreational. Due to continuous severe abuse of promotions, management reserves the right to refuse/remove bonuses and associated winnings for all
players residing in Denmark, Taiwan, Israel, People’s Republic of China, Greece, Germany and Australia. This only applies to players that are deemed by management as non-recreational.

Hmmm...do you think I'll take up their offer?? I guess I could check first with their support team (who are notoriously bad BTW) to see if I am 'non-recreational', but they could re-classify me anyway if I win so its just not worth the risk.

    Let me think.

Ah, winning = non recreational and your winnings are then confiscated.

So you lose either way. You still want to try them out Nifty?

I just don't get this whole "bonus abuser" concept. If they offer bonus with certain terms, how do you abuse it if you withdraw your money right after meeting those terms. Like this:

    A. receiving a promotion bonus then cashing in without demonstrating a reasonable degree of play

"reasonable play", what's that? I thought they have those wagering requirements for that? Why can't they just make those wagering requirements tighter, instead of these terms, which basically make them able to mark you as "bonus abuser" and post your personal info to "central database" if they feel like it. And that's not even all:

Grand Mondial deems promotion abuse to include but not to be limited to any of the following:

So they can basically come up with completely new term and use that against you.

It would be fun to see how these terms would work in court, never seen so cloudy terms in any contract, or at least in any contract I have signed. Any lawyers here? Would these terms really stand in front on law? (of course it depends which law, and that exactly is problem with these internet casinos)

Although my general view is casinos are free to put whatever they want in their T&C's - and players are free to read those T&C's and if they don't like them, go elsewhere.

But Grand Mondial seem to have completely lost the plot! But setting the WR way above any other MG I can think of, and putting in those terms they are clearly saying they don't want ANY players to take a bonus & make a profit.
IMO these guys need to take a good long hard look at 32Red & Intercasino...

My advice to players is boycott this place - there are at least 100 better MG's to chose from!

Sites receive payment in the form of new player when they advertise freebies.

If they chose to add ridiculous conditions, they should be clearly stated within the TOS. That can be easily scrutinised & seen for what it is.

For someone to complete the playthrough, try to withdraw, get banned for bonus abuse is inexcusable IMO.

It stinks of false advertising and the site should be penalized financially for that.

If they dont want bonus abusers they should consider a bonus model that benefits regular real money play & take all their fancily worded freebies off all the advertisements.

I totally agree with most everythinng that has been said in the above posts BUT has anyone ever been actually stamped an abuser by this casino if they did take a bonus , then try to cash out??

I would like to hear from them if they are a member here!

I personally have played here and won a small amount and was able to withdraw in 3 days with no problems. So, I would like to hear MORE from the players here before i play there again.

IMHO, I have NO idea why they would put such language in their terms, but does this make them a bad or rogue casino?

    Just a rookie asking a question :-)

Unless those terms are cut'n'paste from the old days, some lucky smuck is gonna be real unlucky some of theese days...

I lost my fair share in the casinoe so I wouldn't know anything about withdrawing from them!
