    Lightbulb Royal Vegas "free" Tournaments

I want to add my 2 cents into this discussion.

I got real excited about the RV free tournies when they first started. But to date, I have only won $5.00 on all the "free" games I've played. I only won ONCE; and, I had to rebuy in at $2.00 to get it. Now I just find them very boring.

Whenever I play I generally end up WAY down at the bottom of the list when it's over. It's no fun finishing 656, or 389, all the time. The reels often get stuck spinning and it can be a minute or more between spins whenever this happens to me. If I only get to spin 5 or 6 times in the 5 minutes allowed to play, I feel cheated! What a waste of time!

When I asked the casino why there's so much lag time between spins occasionally, they replied saying that I had become disconnected from the casino during my play time and that is what causes the long spins.

This answer surprised me because I didn't notice getting disconnected from the casino. The counter kept on counting down and I was able to go back to the lobby after the play was over without having to sign back in. I didn't feel their answer was legitimate. A previous post on this thread gives a better explanation of this phenomena and I now feel validated. Thank you!

Might be worth trying them at another casino. Have you checked out the optimisation stuff here? That may help. I'm getting 14 spins a min on Tombraider and 12/13 on Thunderstruck.

    loving the tournies

It takes approx 4-6 seconds on T/struck and a little faster on T/Raider.. Much faster on Loaded and Avalon. The new games make the tournies much much better and some of the scores are unbelievable. First thought they were rigged with false players names winning until i actually won $100 on the 500 LOADED , i got the five blondes on the free spins which paid over 200,000 and would you guess it the very next day got the same but came second. Microgaming need to be congratulated with the way the tournies are run during the games, my wife plays on her own computer with her own account and we can actually see where each other is during the games, the scores for all players change instantly which makes for a more interesting contest even with players you dont know but are familiar with their names when they continue to compete against you. In my opinion "WELL DONE MICROGAMING'' Maybe some casinomeister members should let us know what names they play under so we can all enjoy playing against each other.

As a player in the US I am thrilled to actually play anything online again. I even quailfied for the December 15th BIG ONE! I ended up 8th and had to sweat it out until it closed 24 hours later. I checked with 16 minutes to go and I was 50th. I did some quick positive thinking and sure enough...I was
50th at the end. So I am looking forward to Dec. 15th. I do have a question. Why can't you "sign up" for the schedualed free tournaments? I can only get into the open games? Every time I log in (which is about every 2 hours) I go through the list and still I get a "tournament is closed code 3" message. Any help will be appreciated. I am on vacation and would live on the computer. I'm VERY competitve so it's not about the $, on the small ones I mean. It is VERY about the $ Dec 15th!

"Open" refers to open for registration. Having all the scheduled tourneys open for registration as soon as they're slated wold tie up much more server than the present system. Congrats and good luck on Dec 15!

To add spice to these tourneys, I think that the counter should freeze during the free spins.

It is more usual for the SLOTS to freeze during free spins

I think they should loosen them the hell up. Add more scatters and wilds to the reels. It's not like they have to pay out money based on the payline wins, it would still be based on the overall result.

It's frigging boring to end up with 400 to 600 coins every frigging time. I haven't even been playing them in a while because I've got some paint drying, water boiling and grass growing that has been far more appealing to watch.
