I don't know you facing same problems as I do with MG tournaments. I am playing them at Ladbrokes.
Problem is that almost every free tourney is canceled or postponed for some undetermined time, so you can't know when it actually start.

Not to mention that every now and then there is some update which require restart of casino.

MG needs to sh*t or get off the pot on the tournaments, every time a freeroll tournament comes up it cancels at starting time. I bet the buy in tournaments don't cancel a starting time.

Im really p*ssed off with MG and their tournaments too - one of the reasons being the cancellations etc.

The other point is that the tourneys prizes really are useless, except for maybe the weekender and some invite-onlys. The new Avalon $2 buyin top prize is $60 (can have 5 continues @$2) - which is 30xbet provided you dont continue - you're better off playing video poker or something. Even the weekender (which you need to spend $100 to win in reality) pays only 50x bet - most bonus rounds pay more than that!!

Until they add rebuys etc back into the pot, they can stick it up their collective a*ses

Let me add my own bitch and gripe about the tourneys.
I hate the rebuy option, if it's called a free tourney it should be just that. FREE! I was in 5th place in Jackpot Factory Win-o-rama, now guess what......I'm in 90th, because I didn't do the rebuys.
I don't understand this either, why would someone enter a 2.00 tourney only to win 6.00? That isn't a great return on your money is it?
Also, all the cancellations lately suck. You would think by now MG could get it together.
Yeah I know.....I think someone pissed in my cornflakes this morning.

The cancellations probably reflect that players are getting wise to the fact that these are extremely poor value due to the very large take for the casino, which far exceeds the normal 5% for slots. They cancel the tournaments when the entries are low enough to make them GOOD value, with the risk of the payout even exceeding 100%. It seems they are happy to take 100% of the rebuys when many compete, but are not prepared to give some of it back to even out the edge when fewer take part in a given tournament. Exposed for the rip-off they are!!! - Bloody took long enough

I like tournies that last days, not minutes.

I don't mind the rebuys there, what you need is one good run giving you a nice bankroll, and then you can work your way up by adjusting bet size etc.

Unless you get real lucky it's not profitable (heck, it's called gambling), but it's fun to be playing with a large bankroll and trying to ride the waves.

It lets you get to know a particular slot real well...and I like fiddling with bet sizes. I like being able to manage amounts much larger than I ever would with real money, just clicking away at max to beat a time limit it's not near as much fun. I like being able to spend hours for little actual money with a large amount that lets me make decisions and adjust bet size, number of coins and lines and all that jazz.

    Just my two bits....

Oy Vey, again with the 3Dice shtuff The tourneys there are awesome and they just keep rolling them out. There are free ones every day, and after you make any deposit you can play the VIP tourneys (i've won a couple) The buy-ins have rebuys, but watch the time line as you can buy in and then not be able to rebuy in the last 24 hrs Most entries are 1tourney credit, a buck.

A chat client runs and often a host will ask,,, what do you guys wanna do? and everyone just chimes in until all the parameters are set... it might be a 1 hr all games race for highest stake, or peak balance, or finishing balance... there are fun chat games like hunting screenshots over 1500, etc. etc.

In a way it can be more fun than a B&M!!! You've got a party host there immersed in the game, encouraging you on, the players are fun for the most part (some will go mute when you pass them up, but most are encouraging)

When the host is on you're usually paid immediately -- real money that you can cash out, play in the regular casino games, or buy credits with. When these guys stop amazing me with their excellence I'll be a jaded spoiled casino brat

I'd say 1100+ players and 800+ players are more than enough to keep a tournament open. There must be a bug in the tournament programming that cancels them when they open. But as I eluded to in an earlier post, the pay tournaments never EVER cancel, even if there's only 100 people in them, always the free rolls.

To buck the trend, I'm loving the tournaments just as a break from day-to-day stuff. The cancellations are probably a bug that will get ironed out, but if you leave the casino open they usually start - just later than advertised. "Postponed" would be a better description.

I'd like to see some longer ones too but the casinos can set up their own, just not many doing that at the moment. Some 10-15 minute ones would be good - and the option to "pause" would be good too - in case the doorbell goes.

Me and Spear play them against each other for beer. He's 2 up at the moment but I'll be in the lead before Macau It adds a little extra competition to it all. You guys ought to pair up on MSN and do the same...it's fun.

I'm actually in the process of investigating getting winner feeds so I can look at starting a "league". I'll update you if I get some joy there.
