Casino software question

Hi,

maybe someone here knows a little or more about this stuff:

If a casino uses software of a big software provider, e.g. Microgaming, will the random numbers for the games come from their own server, or will they come from a microgaming server ?

For example, the big progressive jackpots at MG are MG wide Jackpots. So the casinos must be connected in some sort of way.

And what about Playteck and the others.

Anyone who knows more ???

Hi Chuchu,

The RNG can be affected by the software provider - this is true - however as previously mentioned in an earlier post they only have a 1-2% variable on this..

The licensee should have no power over this.

Many many thanks for your answers.

Does anyone know, if there is a common software, where this is NOT the case (that the network provides the RNs) ??

( or, to be precise, anyone who has info about 888.com, espec. the BJ game)

Generally, the "front" and "back" ends are totally seperate. Why? Well, maybe the casino couldnt be bothered to worry about software, and maybe the software don't like to screw people directly!

It may also reassure customers, but I reckon this must be a mild by-product really! I doubt this is a big reason.

Some people do indeed have their own software. So can they scam people? Yes. Do they? Of course some do. However, these are probably already in the rogue pit. Others are generally seen to be fine. Casinos are meant to make money - so why destroy business and abuse that privilege? Makes no real sense to fix it, but some people still do.

Bryan probably has the software on the main site somewhere if you look - I couldn't find it in about 5 secs tho! But I think it is their own, or not a commonly used one at least.

The software provider is Random Logic.
Also used by 21.com & Golden Reef casinos.

That's about all I know.
The only thing I could dig up in 30-seconds of searching (lunch break finished 15 mins ago!) was this bit of info on the Wizards' site:-

When I played at 888 I thought their software as fair as anyone else's.
