More glitches...
Such a shame when a good software house releases a great new game on the public without thorough testing first
Glitch 1:
Still in fun mode I left it running while I went to Tesco for some shopping. When I got back the feature had hit, but my session had also timed out so I had to exit & log back in - no problem there.
Played the feature game, then carried on spinning....
This is when the peculiar stuff started; roughly every other spin I was getting win-lines & win flashing borders appearing before the reels had even stopped spinning and NOT on winning combinations! It was not always the same line, sometimes up to 5 or 6 win-lines appeared. This is only a display issue, the wins I got did seem to be registering properly.
Managed to catch this shot mid-spin:-

Glitch 2:
Still in autoplay I hit a nice $100 win thanks to an Expanding Eagle!
A pop-up said 'well done, do you want to play for real?', so I said "No".
Normally after this the slot carries on with the autoplay, but this time it just 'froze up'
No buttons worked & so I had to exit the game.
Again, this is a minor issue as I think it would only occur in fun-mode.
(Note the non-winning line 7 win-line, as mentioned above)

Back to the game itself!
After playing hole 1 it took another 148 spins to hit the feature again.
This time I took 3 shots & won $35.70.
I hit the next 4 holes all within 100 spins:-
16 spins; 2 putts - $120.00
15 spins; 2 putts -- $45.00
14 spins; 2 putts -- $45.00
54 spins; 2 putts -- $45.00
This leads me to believe that the number of shots you take is not directly proportional to the win you will get, but is a random figure within a certain range.
Also, on hole 6 I played a shot (bounced of a wall) which looked dead certain to be a hole-in-one, but then it stopped very suddenly about an inch from the hole
So a bit disappointing that it's not true skill like Daily Horoscope or Alien Hunter, but it is still a nice enjoyable and fun slot which is capable of BIG payouts!
PS: One more thing; the paytable doesn't actually tell you how many scatters you need to trigger the feature.
(It's 3 or more).
PS2; It also doesn't tell you which reels the expanding wilds are on.
(They're on reels 2, 3 & 4 only)

I have tried this slot at fun mode and after few spins:

And sadly, it claims last win was $0.00.
Rivals slots are fun, I like them too. But when it comes to payout rates, I prefer Microgaming.
I did pretty well in the golfing, having played some computer mini golf before. Went par on the first hole, one below par on the second, par on the 3rd hole on my first tries. But the simulated physics seem a bit weird, I don't think it's rigged, it's just not that good a mini golf game.
Well I hope Rival will get their act together soon, I can see these slots being a lot of fun but who wants to play in real mode with all those glitches!! Once again the slot should have been tested more before it was released.![]()

The new game is something different, and looks like it might provide some fun.
I just noticed that they have changed the paytable for Hobo's Hoard - I must admit I dont like going to play a game and not get paid for combinations you normally would. The change is that the symbols that used to payout for 2 of a kind now only pay for 3 of a kind. Im not exactly sure if the 5OAK payouts have increased as a result, but if they havent then its some extra % edge for the casino.
Rival games and casinos really are different and I have always enjoyed playing there (not to mention fast payouts). I have to agree with bonustreak though.......I really wish they would be completely tested and bug-free before release. It just gives an impression (justified or not) of being second-rate or unprofessional, which is a big turnoff for many people. You could imagine the uproar if Microgaming changed a paytable or bonus round or were constantly fixing bugs - Bryan would have to buy more bandwidth!
So I played a bit more in fun mode, and managed to hit the ball so that it went outside the course! The next shot went completely off the screen.

Ha! That's not so good. I think more testing might be called for on this one.
I do like the slot, though... It's unique (for once) and has excellent theming. I sure wish they would have come out with something a bit more 'realistic', though![]()
