The Isle of Man-based and Malaysian owned sportsbook Ascot Sports will be expanding its online gambling offering with the launch of an online casino on 25 September.

Ascot Sports (IOM) Ltd is one of 12 Isle of Man licensees granted a Bookmaker's Permit and Restricted Betting Office Licence under the Gaming, Betting and Lotteries Act 1988 by the Isle of Man Gambling Commissioners.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri Vincent Tan has been the chairman of Ascot Sports (IOM) Limited since its incorporation in March 2005, and is ranked among the top 15 wealthiest individuals in Malaysia. He has appeared on Forbes list of the world's wealthiest persons and is currently the chairman and CEO of Berjaya Group Berhad.

Ascot Sports does not accept US clients, and this policy will presumably carry over to the new casino venue.

Being from Malaysia, I don't think there is a problem with this casino at all. I personally have met their CEO before and I doubt that he'll be leaving anyone high and dry anytime soon. He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met, being so wealthy yet so humble.

Don't be fooled that you're in bad hands being that the owner is from Asia. He has quite a few establishments in Malaysia which is worth more than MYR 1 billion in total and that's at least USD 300+ million. I doubt that anyone who actually has that kind of money would cheat anyone who could win at their casino.

Plus, he's unlike a lot of other casino/sportbook operators out there who hides behind the mask of the Internet. He even dares to put his name in writing and dares to tell you who he is and what he owns. Do you think such a person who would tell you everything about himself actually dare to cheat anyone at all? Wouldn't that be a little risky and a little dangerous?

As far as I am concerned, there is NOTHING to be afraid of in playing in this casino or at Ascot Sports. All the best to everyone out there who is playing there. Good luck!

so I emailed their support with detailed queries regarding their sign up offer and recieved a very professional response within 3 hours... that's always a positive sign so I'm going to try it out....... after all, its all gambling....

Ascot bailouted the Pointbet, I doubt they are connected. Ascot has spammed Chinese gambling forums. They pay slow and find excuses not to pay big winnings.

AFAIK they are seperate entities, but you can transfer your money between the 2 wallets.
