Hi Gaahl, it could be the language barrier, or maybe I'm not being clear (I bable sometimes)

IF you quit when you are ahead, there will not be enough spins in your sample size to defeat you i said earlier that of course if you spin indefinitely the odds will get you.

As far as I can tell I am ahead online over my lifetime of online gaming. I have used bonuses. I'm also very near to break even, but I tend to blame that on the difficulty i have funding and being paid (no longer instant for US players).

those were because i couldn't believe you would call me a slots player who thinks he can beat the house every time, when i claimed neither. and you quoted my whole post but didn't even read it. i put the cusses in a similar colour to the background so that one would need to go out of one's way to see them. because that type of shit does not fly here, but i just needed to vent my frustration and did so. obviously there's no reason for me to think you smoke poles or burgle turds, and attacks on the person do not strengthen a rational argument. and if i had wanted to feel tough i would not have tried to hide the insults. teach me some norwegian cusses. i am in the process of beginning to learn swedish as well.

Hehe, actually I have been out drinking and partying, so I read it now Actually, I read your post several times, And as i wrote, I missunderstood one part of your post (Beeing able to get positive variance all the time bit), and the slots thingy.

To lojo, I see your point, but your thinking is fundamentally wrong. You have to see it as one big session. Lets say you play ladies night for each session. You quit when you are up one session. Then redeposit, maybe at another casino, and play ladies night again. It is still "the same session" in the sense that the slot dont "remember" it as beeing a new session. So infact, even if you quit when you are ahead, you are still playing a -EV game. In the long run, slots dont "remember" your play. You are still playing against a 5% HA. And that will eventually grind you away, even if you quit while ahead. Because, like I said, you cannot see it as one and one sesion, If you play the same game, it will still be what we in the poker language call "one big session".

Hope my drunken speach made any sence. If you continue with your project, I hope you keep it on a small scale, because, and Im sorry, but I belive you will eventually loose. The statistics are against you. So I hope you dont bet more then you can afford to loose

My ONLY point was, people should not get the notion that slots can be beaten without playing with bonuses, because no matter what strategy you use, they cant...

Well, we agree Gaahl that if a person continues to spin they will eventually lose more than they've risked.
But I'm just looking for one big score, then I'll quit, really I will, and we didn't really need to pay on the house this month anyway, and the kids don't need new shoes, hell it's summertime here, and if the electricity gets shut off I won't be able to gamble and if I can just crawl out of this rut everything will be okay, I know it will, I have a feeling in my bones.

As long as I play within my entertainment budget and have the lojo mojo all is well. And the one big session concept might be something I have to look at. By the time I can do quick deposits and withdrawals again, if ever, my 'streak' will probably be over, I will have been convinced that it isn't possible to win and walk away. (I used to take my winnings and gamble onland and bought a few nice things for 'free', thus ending the session and starting over).

Yip, my faith is fractured as we 'speak'. It started with the naked truth that there is no place on earth like Vegas, (why bother trying to parlay my wins into a trip to monaco then macau) and ended with the realization that I'm not unique, the statistics won't be damned - thanks a lot pal
The glory days of bonuses are over, Americans are ducking the fog trying to gamble online, and I have only been lucky to take good B&M slot wins to the tables in the past. (and eventually put them back in the machines because I AM addicted to the atmosphere and potential in a Brick and Mortor casino)

But maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and believe that if I manage my money and my wagers sensibly online, I can end the session (at a profit) and start a new session whenever I feel like it.
