    Frustrating!

Why is it so hard to NOT snail mail a new player promotion to an OLD player??? I am getting so frustrated at all these discs that come in my mail... download for $500 free... new players only... WTF? If they took 3 seconds and looked up my address they would see that I already have an account and that that's how they got my damn address in the first place (or at least it had better be!!!). Sure doesn't make me want to run and play there... spam email doesn't bother me nearly as much as spam snail mail. If I want your friggin casino's disk, I'll ask for it.

Ditto Jen. I have one drawer in my desk absolutely chock full of them. Every single one useless. Why don't they take some of that money they spend on manufacturing and mailing these things, and use it to look after existing, loyal players?

I've said it a million times......concentrate on player retention, rather than player acquisition. There are so few casinos that actually get it right.

I absolutely agree! Loyalty means squat these days, it's all about getting those new players - they don't get that the reality of it is that those new players will probably deposit once for the new player bonus and never come back again.

And then they'll come here and complain about the "poor quality" of their new players.

When I WANT the CD, it seems they can't send one, but when they update so much the CD is useless, they send thousands of the b****y things!

What is worse is when they confuse you by addressing you personally, and don't make it plain the promotion is only for NEW players. It looks like SOME casios have SOLD OUR DETAILS to companies that do marketing for casinos in general. This list is "special", as it is 100% current or former online casino players, and is infinitely more valuable than a standard mailing list where only 1% or so are even interested in onlne casinos to start with.

This happened with the recent Grand Prive campaign. I never had ANY relationship with them, but somehow they found my "snail mail" details & sent the CD & offer. They claimed it was a marketing company, and this meant that current Grand Prive player were also on the list. It was, however, marketed to current online players of any type, as no relatives or friends who had no presence at online gambling sites got one of these offers. If it was simply bulk mailed by profile from a generic list, I know several people who SHOULD have also got the disk through meeting the correct demographic profile of likely respondents (which is pretty wide).
