    New Slot at Rival/Pantasia

    Hey Gang

Anyone tried the new slot at Rival/Pantasia etc?

Its a bird-based one and the theme is quite good, although Im not sure about the bonus round...

I would love to know some other opinions.

Also, I want to say that I have done pretty well over the past week (on other rival slots) so I think I was having a very bad streak a few weeks back, and wanted to thank CocoaRob for answering all my queries personally and publicly - we need more reps around like him

I've been trying it out It's fun... But here is kinda my analysis of the slot itself:

Watch the Birdie is a 5 reel, 15 payline video slot with a recursive bonus.

Description: The theme of Watch the Birdie slot is all about bird watching. The theme is VERY good and the graphics are better than most casinos out there from the complete theme of the reels to the bonus game and animations - this slot rocks for grahpics. The paytable is ok, but not fabulous, and some of the features are rather nice for a Rival slot.

Features: Watch the Birdie has an expanding wild (about time) and a scatter symbol which triggers the bonus feature. The only problem I have with the wild is that is only available on reels 2 - 4.

Bonus Game: This bonus starts off as a pick'em style bonus with a bit of a twist in that you must match the 'birdie' to a birdie in the egg. If you match the birdie, then you will win $$ or get another chance to pick another egg. The nice part about the bonus is that you can pick the 'moma bird' from the egg and she will re-lay all of the eggs! This allows you to start the bonus over (new eggs) and win more money.

Bet Size: This slot can be played (at max bet) from $0.75 to $37.50. This is the typical range for Rival's video slots

Slot Variance: This slot is medium variance like most of the Rival-based slots

Theme: This is one of the better themes out there, IMO. The graphics are excellent throughout the game and the animations are very cool.

You can see screenshots of the slot at slotsonfire.com (Just click it under new slots - or click the image for the featured slot and it will take you to the review and a ton of screen shots).

I have played this one for a while and in a short amount of time it ate through all of my cash

That happens, I know, and I expected it TBH. I would guess that I had, initially about 150 spins prior to the bonus screen where I didn't win a lot even though I had re-triggered the bonus during play twice.

After the initial bonus - I spun about 400-500 times with no more bonus and no big wins

It was fun and I enjoyed the game itself, but without more bonuses or decent sized wins - it's not worth replaying.

I still dont understand the attraction with Rival, yes they have a rep who answers questions, none of the payout percentages claimed have been investigated and verified by third parties. The payouts are dreadful, I was lowrolling at Dash last night, Tally Ho at .36c/spin, first feature $9.03, second feature $53.00, third was alucky one $320.00, than went to Supe it up at .25c/spin hit three features, all were above $40.00, went to Inet and played Alladin at .20c/spin hit the feature a few times, one with spins hit $31.00, and the other I got 100x, I could go on but whats the sense??

as usual with me and Rival slots, in play mode I kicked the heck out of the slot hitting the feature several times in a 100 spins or so. I deposit and burn through $200 without even getting close to a win or seeing the feature lol. Oh well so it goes.

Decided to see if I did better at paradise 8 another rival. I did hit the feature twice then lost it all. I already closed my remaining accounts, not sure it is them or me but I have no luck there anymore and I think it is time for me to stop all around while I am ahead lol.

I went through all my money very fast also.

I find it very typical of having one win straight up and then it drains it all quick as a flash. I rarely even saw the expanding wild.

There is an expanding wild? lol

Heck, I liked they monthly bonus and all but my sessions were just going too fast even with a bonus so I wrote them an email and closed all rivals down told them I had a problem gambling chasing a loss on their slots which in a sense is true since I used to win all the time if I waited and caught a few features in a row. Last few times I haven't seen much so it felt pretty good shutting the accounts down and uninstalling.

i think i will shut my accounts too. I played at pantasia earlier and it was pitiful. I played the reel party game and got 3 scatters for 20 spin and a retrigger to make a total of 30 spins and got 9 times my bet as a payoff

    Intercasino VS Rival

yes they have a rep who answers questions,
Only good thing going for them at this time IMO.

There is no comparison on the payback in slots offered between these two. As most know, I closed my accounts a long time ago at Rival and still play their games in fun mode only, because to give credit where credit is due, the games used to be somewhat fun and different. I play there very seldom even in fun mode now since most games are repeats. Only when a new game comes out do I go and check it out anymore.

It seems they are putting out a lot of the same as MG did though lately, and all that has changed is the pictures. The payback is still verry stingy and once you wrap your head around the fact that , yes, that is all there is to it, then you too will end up making a decision to save your bankroll instead of donating continuously for hitting a jackpot of any amount, is still far short of other casino games. 5 Wilds paid $150.00 on a 75 cent bet. Truly stingy when that was the top payer.

Intercasino, has some terrific games I downloaded last night and the payback is wonderful for a lot of the hits. The bonus rounds are extremely different and a lot of fun. Maybe Zoozie can do a take on them?

    Slots

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for all of your comments. I make sure that the slot team sees all of them (both good and bad).

One feature about this slot that hasn't been emphasized here is that the bonus round has unlimited win potential. If you are lucky enough to keep finding the Bonus Bird, you could keep on clicking for quite a while. This affects the EV quite a bit and thus the payouts on the paytable (near the top end) aren't as high.

This of course has both its positives (no max win amount), and its negatives (the player sees the paytable and might assume that their max win amount is relatively low).

I'll bring this up with the slots team and hopefully we can make sure that the paytable is clear about this.

Since its launch, the game has had a return of 95.93% (the expected return is 96.849%).

    Cheers,

    Rob
