(I am using Click2pay without the card just fine though, no other complaints) |

Their customer service just called me and told me the news in case I didn't get the email (which I haven't by the way). She said that the card was still good and that I could use it up to the 2nd of May. She recommended that I withdraw as much as possible before the 2nd since they didn't know how long it might take to transfer the funds back to the webwallet account.
She also said that they were looking for another service provider. They would probably have this card in the future but with someone else... ...like who? In Germany, we can withdraw Euro 2100 per day. I'll see if they're right

I think there's a massive business opportunity here for an honest processor who is big enough and organised enough to take Neteller's non-US business away from them, bearing in mind the casual and uncommunicative attitude of Neteller toward its customers that we are seeing all too frequently. Neteller will only allow card users to carry a set amount on their NT cards, so by immediately freezing transfers from individual NT accounts to the NT cards they are ensuring that their customers are left (for now) only with the funds already on the card....and only a few days to clear those funds before they are arbitrarily reversed back to the NT account of the card holder. I'm just one of I'm sure many looking for an alternative arrangement because I am now pretty pissed at the way this e-wallet treats its clients.

Bloody great!
Now we are going to have another swathe of player with funds trapped in Neteller because the card was their ONLY way of withdrawing. They have given little notice, but seemed to have blocked the ability to even get as much out as possible between now and the 2nd May by blocking the loading of the cards from the account.
Having lost the whole US market, and voluntarily given up the Canadian market, they seem hell bent on pi55ing off what remains of their non-core market except in countries where members can also withdraw by cheque or bank transfer. They have already crippled bank transfers even for ME in the UK where they operate, and now I only have the cheque option. If Barclays decides to close this I could be in the unthinkable position of being a UK Gambler, where it is legal, and adversised heavily from TV programmes to Motorway Urinals, being unable to withdraw from Neteller just like the Americans, Canadians and Turks. I am finding it harder to believe they can survive this continual barrage of bad news without getting themselves into financial dificulties, and the exact nature of these "trust funds" should be looked into more carefully. Oddly enough, other eWallets are not lurching from crisis to disaster like this, they seem to be running pretty much as normal. Casino operators need to take this seriously, these blows to confidence in the processing side are going to lead to reduced throughput at the casinos, and this reduced throughput could increasingly be by credit card, something most casinos discourage through incentives as it costs them more as they often cannot refund back the purchases but have to issue cheques.

First class post, Vinyl - I agree with you. It almost seems as if Neteller is in self-destruct mode.

Wasn't there a LSE rule that they have to list on the exchange again within six months or dissolve or something? Working from poor memory here.

You're right - there was an article on this in Casinomeister News.
As I recall it was about the suspension of the Neteller stock trading (which was introduced in mid-January by the company after its founders were arrested and it froze US accounts) The AIM market compliance department said that such a suspension could last for up to six months before it was scrutinised.
