Yikes Happy, I know what that means. You zeroed out.

An update on my situation. I had PM'd the rep here, but hadn't heard back. However, this morning I did receive an email from the Accounts Dept. saying some of my docs were missing. Also, I don't have a passport or a driver's licence. I don't drive, and don't travel outside Canada. Yeah, I'm sheltered.

Anyway, I explained this to her and she just asked me to resend the government ID that I had. I did mention CM to her and that I had PM'd the rep here to get clarification. Well, not fifteen minutes later I got a confirmation email that "my identity had been verified, and it appeared that I was who I said I was". LOL....always a good thing to know. So it stated that any withdrawals should now go smooth as silk. Excellent news, as I was starting to get worried. After five years of never "not being paid", if it were to happen twice within a month, I think I would have quit. So all is good on that front.

And the HippoJo rep got back to me just a bit ago, saying they aren't sure about the Moneybookers date, but that he/she would talk to accounts and see if there is an alternative to get my money to me faster. So, they may have a few growing pains as they are brand new....but so far they seem willing to help and do what they can to make sure things go smooth.

    It's not a fortune, but hey $300 off a freebie works for me....and I think it's a pretty generous n/d offer.

only if you want to pass through ports do you need a passport!

yeah i blew it all back. on the plus side i now have 3953 comp points, so that should make 39 pounds or so, if i could figure out how to redeem them for cash, that is...?

on the plus side i hit with 32red's blair bonus for about 400 GBP. and i have like five previous cashouts coming to me soon from red. i have been quite lucky there the last week. well i was lucky at hippojo too until i recklessly chased after nothing, why didn't i scale back if i wanted to play for hours? no biggie, so long as i can keep hitting and staying ahead overall...

n Europe everybody must have a passport, to identify, because normally, if you go on the streets and the police will check you and you have nothing on you to identify, you have to pay some money!

Certainly thepassport is needed to go outside from your own country, but i really never knew before, that in some countries a passport is not needed.

here in north america, we can use any form of government-issued card with our photo, name and signature to use for ID purposes (because yes here also if you are on the street without any ID you can be charged with vagrancy/being a bum). some common ones we use here in canada are driver's licence and health insurance card. we don't have a standard "identity card" like in europe, but such a thing is coming here by the end of the decade i think, because of terrorism and the US-canada border. but i still don't think we need to bring this card with us everywhere, just to visit america.

Europe is not one country, there are different laws in different countries. There is no requirement to carry identification in the UK or Ireland, and even where there is, a passport is not compulsory.

    where have i written this?

i know certainly that europe is not "one" country!

But when i go to germany, i must also have a passport, becauase otherwise i had to pay about € 100.- or so, because the police must check my datas and for their work you have to pay!
ok, it's not a "must have" in europe, but when you have enough money, you can certainly pay for this!
Btw. Czech Republic is also in EU and only 40 kilometers from me away, but there i must have a passport, otherwise i have to drive back!
There are probably in all countries another rules, but my thought was always, why do we need the EU, when it have no sin for us and nothing is now better, contrary, because it is all more expensive, sometimes about the double price, as before!

But that's not a discussion for this thread, because we're a little bit off topic now

Sorry, but this has to be rectified.
There is no need to have a passport with you, neither for an austrian in germany nor the other way round.
The shengen treaty has made all these points absolutely clear.
As a german i didnt even need an ID card for visiting a B+M casino.

You're wrong, because i worked in 2004 every week in germany and there were sometimes people in the train and if you have no passport on you, you have to pay and that's 100% sure!

Trust me, i know what i say, because i had to pay for that, because i thought, that i need not any passport, because we are EU, but that's not true, you must always can identify you!
