Um.. Just got my Netspend card.. And now casinos won't take it?

I dunno.. Maybe I am just trying the wrong casinos, but I used my netspend card successfully 3 times for poker, but when I went to use it for casinos (alljackpots and royalvegas) it was declined.

I reloaded it earlier today and checked the site. There is money in my account, (over the little fee that netspend charges per transaction) So I am a bit on edge as to what is going on.

I feel like the gambling world is out to get me.. with all these new casinos popping up around me in Pennsylvania... It is quite annoying being too young to go try them out.

My one refuge was online gambling, but it seems now even this is hard for me to get myself back into.

Anyway enough of my complaining, anyone willing to give me some advice?

    Thanks

-Sad little 18 year old boy

At 18 you need to be careful, especially with the flight of the reputable casinos from the US market. 18 to 21 year olds can be screwed by how the casino interprets "is of legal age to gamble". Some simply state 21 in the terms, but others argue they know better than the player, especially if someone under 21 is deemed a "minor" by the casino, and the law at their juristiction is a little vague on the subject.

I'm sure its not the advice you were looking for, but...

When I was 18 there was no way I had the discipline needed to gamble online and not get screwed up. Perhaps you're more mature than I was. Don't get me wrong, if it's legal for you to play you have every right to. You're old enough to vote and fight a war, you're sure as hell old enough to gamble if you have the self discipline (or a big fat trust fund)

Good luck, Jl , whatever you do

you might try depositing an odd amount.....sometimes a $50 deposit will get declined, but a $49.71 deposit will take

Oh.. Well I mean I am registerred as a real player at the casinos.. it is just that they wont accept my card..

Um.. True at 18 I should not be gambling, but considering my upbringing, it was inevitable.. Not that my parents gambled much, but I always loved games and it came to be around a young age when my dad would sit by me and I would play backgammon on the net with him moving the pieces when I was around 12 years old.

Started with quarters.. when to 50 cents and then up

As my interest in gambling progressed so did the games.. from backgammon to gin rummy and so on until I got into the hard stuff such as poker and casinos this year.

I do believe I have a good sense of moderation in what I will risk, but under the circumstances now.. It feels I don't have the option to bet anything.

An odd number.. Ive tried 61.23 and things like that, do you suggest just keep trying different numbers?

And did you mean that because im 18 my visa is denied?

For some reason, debit cards will be accepted one day and declined the next -- and vice versa.

Not to derail the thread, but if you're only 18, I'd like for you to read the posts, yes all of them, in these links. Almost any casino will let you sign up at 18, but it doesn't mean they'll pay you should you win. Proceed with caution...

And this link is the thread/problem that got Grand Prive on the 'naughty' list here at CM: http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...ighlight=bella

Personally, I think 18 is too young to be gambling -- especially online. But you're not my son/daughter, so I'll let the guys handle this. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to mother you.

If you're old enough to patrol Baghdad, I think you can probably handle a few video slots online.

You have a point and you're going to do what you want to do regardless of what anyone else thinks. It's obvious that you're determined to gamble online despite everything that's been going on. Good luck trying to get paid; I live next door in Ohio, and I gave up trying. There are people way over 21 that are still trying to get paid from "reputable" casinos -- the american forum is full of these stories.

To my knowledge Netspend works fine for adults.

You should stick with skill games for the time being. Have you tried worldwinner?

There are also lots of places where you can play free games from actual casinos. You can practice your basic strategies that way.

has anyone read the T&C'S on the netspend card?
i did last week and they specifically state that the card cannot be used to gamble online, it also states something about being able to sieze accounts where illegal activity is suspected.
i know this card has been working for many u.s. players
i almost applyed for one myself untill i read their rules...that scared me off

here it is right from their site

If you use your Card number without presenting your Card (such as for a mail order or telephone purchase), the legal effect will be the same as if you used the Card itself. For security reasons, we may limit the amount or number of transactions you can make on your Card. Your Card cannot be redeemed for cash. You may use your Card to access cash at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). You may not use your Card for online gambling. You may not use your Card for any illegal transactions.

The Card is nontransferable, and it may be canceled, repossessed, or revoked at any time without prior notice subject to applicable law. Please read this Agreement carefully and keep it for future reference

funds tied to potentially illicit or illegal activity may be subject to both internal and potentially Federal investigation, which may delay their immediate access.

just wanted to pass on what i read
