There may be good news for Pinababy and others, as the weather pattern locked in for much of the early part of the Winter has been given a damn good kick up the jetstream, with forecasts of much colder weather for the UK and Europe, Bryan may even see snow at last! The cold air over the Eastern US seems to have been "used up" by these weather systems, and milder air is replacing it, this may be the kick needed to shift those Ice Storms.

Hopefully, back to less abnormal weather next week. The warm air feeding the ice storms is being cut off over the weekend, and it seems calmer and quieter weather for much of the states. Doubt it will get too warm though, high pressure just gives hard frosts in the centre of continents. The desert states may lose their unusually low temperatures though.

Here in the UK the cold spell may only be temporary, with more mild, wet and windy weather later.

Currently, the coldest place in North America is the Kawanake reserve, I have just played at some of the casinos there, and nearly died of hypothermia
