hi!
i am planning to deposit $3000 in a casino and play slots. my ave bet will be from $50 -$75.my aim is to double money.any strategy will be appreciated. besides which casino should i play and which slot. i prefer video slot. thanx in advance.

I frequently double or treble my money on slots, but I only start with $70-$100 and low-roll.
The main 3 rules are; Patience, patience & patience.
The 4th rule is; when you are ahead, stop & switch to a different slot.

Well good luck on that one It's a tough job on slots but a strategy of some sort is good. I have one that I use but no guarantees. Assuming you are going to play Microgaming slots, go for a free spins slot less lines (probably 9) like Thunderstruck or a low/medium variance slot with potentially good bonus rounds (Avalon and Kathmandu) and use an incremental strategy maybe along the lines of the one I use.

I'd probably avoid RTG slots as bonuses come round less often, are less predictable and some RTG's have a max $4k cashout limit. But thats just personal choice.

Another advantage of MG slots is the volume of denominations you can wager at. I would have suggested "Thor" on Cryptologic (Intercasino) but the jump in bet size is too big for what you want to do. "Cleopatra" (Wagerworks) slot at Virgin is ok but it's 15 lines so reaching your target will be tougher unless you play it at 9 lines. You'd probably be better off going for the "50,000 Pyramid" on the same software as bonus rounds tend to be more frequent with good potential. But the wins imbetween bonus rounds are smaller.

For this, personally, I'd use the MG slots I mention above with the incremental strategy, probably starting at $6.75 a spin and working up ($9, $11.25, $13.50 etc) or down from there based on bonus frequency (see strategy). Another key is to keep cashing out as you go!

If you goal just is to double your money it is much much better just to have 1 spin at the roulette.

But if you want to do it on slots, I did some simulations, so you can see what to except.

I played 9 line Thunderstruck. Starting bankroll of 540 units and playing until going bust. Which equals a 3000$ bankroll with 50$ a spin. With these numbers you goal would be to reach 1080 units (where you would stop of course). So from the simulations below this happened on the simulations where the maximum bankroll was >=1080.

If you want more simulations just tell, but I think these gives a good picture of what to expect.

Double your money on slots. I dont find that a good idea. Try baccarat or blackjack instead with big bets. Some casinos allow you to bet up to 1000$ or more in one hand of bj.

first of all i would like to thanks simmo.cos i am not a slot player. basically i play bj. but i were having bad luck at bj.so mikepipe, though i run a gambling portal, but i am not a good slots player. i used to think that you can only win slots with your luck.to some extent its right, but you need a strategy as well to increase your edge. so i went throgh simmos great site. really it was worthed to go through his website. i will advise all forum members, if you want to win on slots, go through simmos website and follow his strategy.
well i deposited 3000 at 3 different casinos.
deposited one thousand at inter casino. lost
deposited 2000 at 2 mg casinos. cashed out 6500.
so made 500 above my target as i was planning to double my money.
i was betting from 90 cents to $37 and i did hit some good spins. and at few spins i collected 1200, 1300, 2500.
so mission accomplished.

yes i did took high roller bonus . the key is that you must have a backup of money to hit the feature and double your bet after every 50 spins to get the feature.
