$500 free roll @ Mummy's, good bet or waste?

Hi guys, I was reading Arnold Snyder's article on his site.

There are some seemingly attactive "free roll" bonuses up for grabs, like
$500 free roll @ Mummy's Gold, 7 Sultans, etc. with any winnings up to $200 becoming a bonus for a small deposit. Sounds good, until you read the bonus T&C.

Let's take an example. Let's say after the 1 hour free roll @ Mummy's, you end up with $100 winnings and make the appropriate deposit, it would be converted to a $100 bonus. The T&C's say:
"Bonus amounts credited to a Player's Bonus Balance are subject to thirty (30) times play-through / wagering before they may be cashed in.

The contributing percentages are as follows:
Video Poker games, Craps, Baccarat and all Blackjacks except
Classic Blackjack 10%
Classic Blackjack & All Aces Video Poker 2%"

So effectively, playing most BJ except Classic, you'd need to wager 300x$100
bonus=$30,000 in wagers!
I can't seem to grasp why Arnold would promote these bonus free rolls. It seems the new player has to spend tons of time to meet the WR.

You don't need to playthrough the wagering requirement under the Microgaming Clearplay system. If you do playthrough, the best choice is usually French Roulette.

I'd agree with that I think you'll find Ruby Fortune are also doing that, or about to do that, same promo.

I agree with the above.
This is a VERY good bonus for slots players, but pretty crap for any other games.
If you know your slots & have a little bit of luck you can start playing (after the promo) with $200 bonus chips for just a $50 deposit. *
That's a 400% bonus!

* Note: It just took me 5 minutes of searching to confirm the T&C's - Come on Mummy's - put the T&C's in a more obvious place!

I agree with everyone else. I was kind of upset at myself for taking that bonus I just took because I had a $1200 playthrough before I could cash out or play table games

I keep forgetting that I have to read LOL.....I like table games! I finally went through my playthrough and am glad to say I get to play let it rid and 3 card poker instead of just slots

Also as mentioned the Bonus is released in stages as you continue to playthrough and is cashable although your remaining bonus balance will be set to Zero.

Another thing to note with WR's is that some require a playthrough of ?* bonus+deposit where this is just ?*bonus so it is worth doing the Maths.

Personaly I think it is one of the best bonus offers out there, especially if you enjoy playing slots.I actualy won £400 on my first deposit with them after gaining the full £200 bonus (note the bonus is converted into sterling also which is worth nearly *2 dollars if you are a UK player)

True enough if you're playing games that count 100% towards the WR, like most slots.
Though my strategy is playing safe with BJ $1-5/hand, so I guess it's time to take more risks.

But I just review Mummy's FAQ and it says The following games are excluded and will not contribute towards wager requirements: Baccarat, all Blackjack game variations, Craps, Red Dog, Roulette, SicBo and all Poker variations (including Power Poker, 10 Play Video Poker and Video Poker).

So I guess just don't go for these games towards the WR.
But can winnings still be cashed out if you play them. The T&C would say...

P.S. I'm starting with a mini bankroll..not throwing around 1000's yet

Yes you can still cash out if you play these games but as you have noted these games do not count 100% towards your WR.Remember your bonus can not be withdrawn and the bonus account will be set to zero upon any withdrawal.
Also take care, should you elect to take a bonus, that you do not play excluded games if any(listed under the T&Cs) as this will null and void any winnings.
To be safe I would suggest that you play only Casinos that are accredited on this site of which Mummys Gold is but one.Make sure that the banking facilitates your prefered deposit and withdrawal methods as well.
If you enjoy slots I would recomend that you play the video slots,most have around a 95% payout so it is quite possible with a little luck to playthrough your WR and show a profit.Then you can move onto the other games.
